hey all,
im looking to get this radio for my first one,

Futaba 10JA 10-Channel 2.4GHz Air S-FHSS Mode 2

http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh496/dlkjr1/lfutk9200_zpse0bd9f05.jpg

it has 10 channels, and says it has the ability to work with 30 seperate models<im assuming that means 30 different planes/helis...and i hope trucks?..

the fact sheet talks about planes, heli's and gliders..but doesnt say a thing about trucks...im not going to use tamiya's MFU,im going to go with the other sound and lighting units, seems to me,you can buy several of the others for less than the one MFU?..meaning several trucks?...and back to this radio,if it can support up to 30 different models...how do you tell it which receiver to "talk" to?
thanks..Dave..BTW..if you see im totally wrong..please dont hessitate to set me straight...i hate to pay 349.00 for a radio that wont work..

it will work. Futaba is a good company. if you want the radio to
talk to 30 different cars, trucks or planes you would then need 30
recivers. from the looks of it that round thing on the right below the + -

See that it shows: 01:MODEL-001 that indicates which model is selected in the tx...

To change between models:
1. Turn off the model(receiver - rx)
2. Switch models in the tx
3. Turn on the model

Should be pretty simple, but I haven't used Futaba for a long time as I have Spektrum gear.

Cheers,
