View Full Version : 6wd with standard 3speed tamiya gearbox?

ok i got the bug to start another project. i love hate the old dump truck and
want to redo it or make a new one. i was thinking of getting a king hauler and turning that into a dump truck. but i would want it 6wd but i want the 3 speed gearbox to how do you do this? use a hilux gearbox? do some other kind of setup
help please with pics if you can

Found on rc4wd a bullet 3 speed trans that listed the gearing ratios. 1 and 2 gear 4wd or 6wd drive for semi. 3rd gear was only rear drives. I think it was about $100. Sorry couldn't post the link on my phone. Hope this helps

You can modify the gearbox to connect a front axle by enlarging the gear box shaft (http:// http://www.der-getriebedoktor.de/shop2/artikeldetails.php?aid=5).
You only have to move the gearbox a bit back to have enough space for the drive shaft.
