I just purchased my first scale equipment. It's a 1/16 CAT 390D excavator. Any meeting places?

The West Coast Mini Truckers don't have any "meeting places" as of yet. We're trying to encourage membership so that we can form local chapters that will enable us to have groups meet in local "district halls" in the future.

It is our hopes that we will be able to have r/c tracks for each local district chapter for the enjoyment of our members. The idea is inspired by Truckmodelismo Brasil in this and other demonstrations:

Unfortunately, this is not yet a reality for us at this time.

Another video to entertain:

We really hope to build r/c tracks like these for the members at some point in the future.

That looks pretty cool, though hardly saw any heavy equipment. Is there anything like that in US?

I don't know of anything like it in the U.S.

As far as heavy equipment and construction type units, I'd like to incorporate a couple of quarries per park into the layouts for the excavator/loaders to use. I think it would prove to be enjoyable for everyone - kind of like a "Big Boys Sand Box". Not to mention at least a few logistic centers for freight to be loaded and delivered to & fro. A working D.O.T. scale and possibly a truck-wash for fun. Not to mention the Truck-stop and other buildings for the rest of the city-scape. :D :D

An entire h.o. layout in 1/14 scale if I could, but I don't quite know how to go about getting this project underway.

Hey Howie, what do you have?

Hi, I am a newbie but got hooked pretty bad. I have two Tamiya tractors and 7 trailers already. I will be at RCX this coming weekend. If anybody has stuff to sell please let me know. But I am getting pretty pickey now.

Hey Howie,
What are you looking for? I have lots of trailer "load" stuff like pallets of boxes, barrels etc
1/10 scale hydraulic floor jacks, cones, wheel chocks, Cat diesel generators etc.

Hi all. I may as well introduce myself here too. Just picked up a Grand Hauler kit as my first semi. I have lots to learn! It might be a little while till I get around to building it as the wife and I are home shopping right now and hopefully I'll find a place where I can have a decent work and play space. See ya around the boards!
