Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
The sleeper is a great idea and just perfect.. And to be able to have the best of both worlds makes it even better..

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Have to agree with Brian, that sleeper is very innovative thinking. Sleeper for long hauls and day cab for quick errands. Ingenious.

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
That's a great idea! It looks good both ways, so this is the best of both worlds. I'd say put a rear window in the sleeper, with a matching visor, like the front. That'd be cool.

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
What a great idea Troy! Looks great in either configuration.

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
That is a work of art, well done!

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Thank's for the comments guys!
I will be building a better sleeper for it when I get settled into the new house. I was just bored and still had a few tools that wern't packed.....and decided to play around with the idea. More pics to come after it is painted! |
Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
I really dig the old school look of that truck, so to add the awesome single sleeper just really completes the look. Not to mention I'm more of a sleeper guy anyways. it looks great, nice job

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
I love the way you guys turn these Tamiyas in such beautiful trucks, can't even see the starting line any more.

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Troy, if that's a messed up paint job, on that sleeper, I have to ask what your 'good' paint jobs look like. I can't see any flaws! Now I'm not sure which I like better. The truck as a day cab, or the truck with it's slip over sleeper.

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth

Re: Starting my daycab Kenworth
Troy you have taken a perfect truck and made it better, if that's possible! I love this thing, the old school look, the stance, it all comes together beautifully!!! The detail is just stunning! Love it! However there is one problem with this truck.....I don't own it!:D:D:D:D
