Greg What's left to say. After seeing this build in person, from start to finish it's amazing.
Gentlemen this builder has some awesome talent and this is just the start. I can hardly wait to see what's next.

What scale is the D8 and about how heavy...Also what motors did you use..

Thanks

Jerry

Hey Jerry
I built in 1/14 scale, I don't have pump, spools and battery in yet, but it will be close to my other D8, around 30 lbs. I used the same motors as the other Cat as well, lots of power, 400 in/oz per side,:D drawback is that they are loud..

Deereman : I get the chain made up that way, it came from China

Re: RCLogger

Thanks Greg..

You are about 1/2 the size of my D8 which is in 1/7..I had thought about making something in about 1/14 or 1/2 but needed to know what type of motors you were using..
BTW, the winch motor that I used for my dozer is very similar to your motors and it too has a loud gear noise to it...

The reason I made mine in 1/7 was to accomodate the Denso angle drive window motors...They are very quiet, but large, about 7 inches long..

Hi Greg,

Looks fantastic with paint on it... can I ask if you painted it with rattle cans or spray gun and compressor?

Thanks
Elliot

Greg. That's sure turned out nice. I like the way you can angle the blade. Are we going to move some dirt this weekend.

I was up at the ski hill all weekend Rob, BUT I had a hour tonite before dusk in the sand pit. I just had to give her a try ! Batteries were weak and only had 12 volts for the drive rather than 18, still was fun though.. :D I will get a video loaded tomorrow..
