Volvo G990 Grader 1:8 - Small update
More than overdue as the old cloud provider disabled the direct picture linking  (luckily the old links are still valid). In the meantime the indexing bar and (all) cylinders were finished.

Re: Volvo G990 Grader
:jaw::jaw: WOW!!!!! Looks terrific! Only thing is, where are the grease fittings on the bearing blocks???
Just kidding! This is one outstanding build. |
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
Thanks Lynn!
The grease fitting seats are at the arrows. They just haven´t been fitted yet. The central grease hole is barely visible in the next pic. https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B_yT...GF0WnR6N3U2Uk0 https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B_yT...F91NG5EUzd3T3M Not kidding ;) Stefan |
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
You just got elevated to a master craftsman:jaw: I was looking more for a grease fitting in the bearing block not the ball joint itself. What other thing have you put in this work of art that you haven't shown us yet?!?!
Second thought- you are way above a master craftsman!! |
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
So why can't I see the pictures, Lynn you got x-ray vision. Been following this from the beginning, first time I'm not seeing it?!
|
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
Me neither... Whould be good to see these pictures too :)
|
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
Nice clear up close pics!! No idea why you can't see them.

Re: Volvo G990 Grader

Oh lordi lordi ......When awesome goes Brilliant .....:) Just waiting for the miniature grease gun to be made.........:D
P.S. Grader is on my must have item list. |
Re: Volvo G990 Grader 1:8
@All: Thanks a lot for the positive comments.
@Lynn: Ok, I was kidding a bit :o The grease fittings will not be operational - but coming to think of it... :D @Kent: Hope you can see the pictures now. @Jack: Yeah, haven´t had it all put together for a long time now, so think that would be a good idea. But no such pics at the moment. Sorry! @Bo: Hopefully someone else builds the miniature grease gun :D Maybe some day in a very far future my second grader will be for sale ;) Stefan |
Re: Volvo G990 Grader
if this is a 1/8 scale what do you expect the final weight to be around
|
Re: Volvo G990 Grader 1:8
Simply based on scaled down real weight I estimate it to be at least 40 kg. Extra implements like ripper and front blade not included.
