Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
Have you guys ever tinted your windows on these machines, what is the best way to do it. I would like to get the grader windows little darker shade.

Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
hey ari they make spray tint for cars use that on some plastic:D
|
Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
Tamiya has translucent paint for exactly that purpose.
It tends to be darker once mounted than when spraying, so do not overdo it :) |
Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
This is a great build-your attention to detail is amazing, but the sound system is what puts it over the top for me. It's perfect!!!

Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
See you like details to, Ari. The small stickers add realism!
Is everything manufactored now? Only painting and assembly left? Dan |
Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
Outstanding in every way! I've watched your videos a few times too. Your making this grader to a new standard that others can look up to. I can't wait to see some video of it in real dirt conditions with close ups.

Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
It's really coming to life with the paint! I know raw models are really neat to look at too, but nothing says 'real' like a metal painted model.

Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
Not sure if I have commented yet but, wow, the level of detail is amazing. I agree that the paint really does bring it to life.

Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader

- How did you make or get the decals / sticker ? - what kid of CNC-machines you have available ? |

The warning stickers are from Fechtner-Modelibau: http://www.fechtner-modellbau.de/ I have Optimum BF20L milling machine, that I have converted to CNC. |
Re: CAT 14M Motor Grader
I made few more details to the drawbar/circle by adding wear strip covers.
This is one of the last parts that is not painted, so it looks like the painting will hopefully end soon... http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...M/IMG_4200.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...M/IMG_4202.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k...M/IMG_4203.jpg |
