Looks awesome Mario! I think the fenders matching her truck would be killer! Nice job on the polishing! Looks amazing!

Mario - you might have to hack the lights off the pivot brackets and mount to the rear fender set.

Check when full open.

Thanks bud, glad you like:). Ya the fenders wasn't really a part of the original plan . when I showed Susan she likes the look right away:)
The polish turned out to be worth the time and sweat that went into it. :jaw:

Thank you Izzy! I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm still learning the patience part of the hobby and make sure to check clearances before diving into something!

The fenders will have to wait for now anyway. Our first RC show is only a month away and I have so much other stuff I need to get done for that! Maybe in time for Indy? Or a next winter project.;)

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

No bad Lou, thanks for the kind words and suggestion:cool: please PM me some pics of the material you mentioned. I think it may work perfect on our reefer for sure!

I was working away on Sue's trailer today and mentioned to Susan that our first RC meet is coming very soon ( 30 days to be precise !) I told her how I still had work to do on the loader and build an area for us to load her truck and haul dirt at the show.....that's when she looked at me and said....." Maybe I'm not ready to put stuff in my trailer yet!"....:eek::confused::confused:!

I'm so confused!??? Did I make it too shiny??? Now we can't haul dirt with it??:jaw:
Our Fleet may look like shelf queens but they run on more gravel than asphalt!
I wanna load that trailer!

I guess my problem isn't getting things done in the next month, it's convince Susan to baptize the trailer by the end of the month!:jaw: lol

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated:):D

You want me to let someone else run my loader!:jaw:

JK...its a good idea Chris. The loader is down right now but once I get this trailer done I can get the loader running and let her give it a go!:)

Small update on the trailer. Today was a good day. Wired up the taillights, rear marker lights, and put the body back on the frame once and for all!:D
Pics of the lights wired....

the mudflaps are just for now until I do the fenders for it. The best part of today was testing the screw drive with my new 11.1V lipo. I tried with one of my 7.2V Nimh but it was so slow. Now with more juice the speed is much better and we are very happy with the results:D

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Sorry Guys, teaching me to run the loader isn't going to change my mind, at least not at this moment. LOL. This truck and trailer has been in the works for almost a year. and I want to keep it shiny and clean for just a little while, that's just the way I am. I do that with my everyday vehicle and school bus too once they are clean and shiny. I have an idea for my first cargo but don't think I can do it at the shows....Mario has been working hard and it looks amazing.

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

I was going to wait till completion but once again couldn't help myself:eek::D.
The dump trailer is almost complete, just have to polish, wire and install the tailgate:). We still plan on fenders in the future but for now mudflaps will do.

So here it is, truck n trailer for the first time:)

Such a mess of wires, I thought rather than make it look neat.... Cover it up! Lol

Wow, really nice work Mario and Sue! Love the lights, and the spit shine polish! I can see why you don't want to get it dirty. :D

Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

So it's all about dirty trailer or not? Any idea how dirty I got sanding and polishing!?? I probably contracted some type of aluminum inhalation symptoms? I think I heard it can make you lose your memory but I can't remember....:p

So after all that, I think it only fair it's time for the trailer to get dirty! I have no issues with some dirt, what I fear and want to avoid are scratches:eek::eek::eek:

The trailer is too big, heavy and awkward to run on the dryer motor wheel now:eek::D

I wish there was a magic spray I could apply to seal and capture the shine we have and never worry about it again but..... Yeah, right! Lol

The bad thing about loading or running it in the dirt is that the sides will get dusty, and when you wipe or clean the trailer off, the fine dust will scratch it! :D

I hear ya Nathan. I'm hoping that when it gets dusty, I figure a shot from the blow gun and a Swiffer duster will minimize any scratching?

Just keep in mind my loader is a bruder conversion, not the real deal, so no plans on real backyard dirt for now. I'm thinking , various wood chips ( chain saw chips and sawmill chipper stuff.) moist floor dry perhaps and rubber grind like the stuff at Indy last year.

Now that its all together I see a flaw in my assembly already!
I should have connected dump body wiring to chassis with a connector instead of hard wiring from box right to the board!
Oh well , if it needs to come apart in the future, that's when I'll install a junction block of some sort.

Mario
