nice truck
really like the idea of hinged hood and cat motor under there:D |
Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)
Is this your first semi build? Looking good so far! Sometimes with all the heavily modified rigs out there, we forget how nice the stock ones are, even though your's will be warmed over slightly! Great pictures. I like where your project is headed. That stretched frame will make your trailer look like a shorty!

As for the trailer, the plan is to make a long lowboy to haul my scalers. Here are some of my RC's.:D http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...read.php?t=597 |
Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)

Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)
Nice color, and great smooth finish on the clearcoat. I do like the idea of flipping the darker color to the top.

Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)
Got motivated to work on this truck again. I decided to go a new route with the over all look, more of a "show-ish" truck. I cut off the sleeper cab and lower the cab about .4".

Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)
Got the back of the cab filled in and cut out the previous sun roof shave job, then filled it in again.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...4/IMG_9713.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...4/IMG_9711.jpg Used a axial trans as a transfer case(if that what this unit is called in a 1:1, I am not sure). Had to do this because the frame is so long and having a day cab. I still need to make a cover to seal the case. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...4/IMG_9716.jpg |
Re: Project: Lloyd (Tamiya King Hauler)
Got some more body work today. Also starting shaving the stock headlight buckets, got some new ones coming in the mail this week.
