Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
road trip!!!! it's funny as Americans we mess around with
a hobby, take the truck for a spin up or down the drive way or blast the boat around the pond and go back home.. BUT the Europeans go to a whole other level with there hobbies. These guys with that monster big rig playground or there is a place for scale boats with harbors bridges and the works. way to go guys!!!:D |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
thanks for the comments :)
I've been to the attic today and found these put away in a box years ago, had almost forgot about them, my fingers just dont seem to agree with thes size of wedico's tiny bolts and nuts, maybe, hopefully they will be finished some day. hope you like them. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00067.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00066.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00065.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00064.jpg |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
I know your pain when it comes to the small M2 screws and nuts on the Wedicos, keep at it and one day you will reach the finish line. I'm not quite there myself but hopefully in 2012 I get there.

A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS, Scania 143 project.
LOL yeah no video this time sorry
So here is my new project, it's going to be a mix of parts, the cab is a Scania 143 streamliner from german company BRAND a sub company of SCALE-ART, WEDICO profi frame, with a modified WEDICO front axel so TAMIYA wheels can fit it. first pic is with WEDICO wheels, they look just a little small with the Scania cab. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00064.jpg and then with the TAMIYA wheels and lowprofile tyres from VERKERK http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00073.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00072.jpg WEDICO axel modified to fit TAMIYA wheels http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00071.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00070.jpg Thanks for looking |

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Had a little building time for the first time in ages, and we bought a R620 SCANIA for my little buddy Johannes, he's 12 years old and it's his first RC-truck, its a BLUE EDITION kit set up as a twinsteer.
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00192.jpg we also started on a trailer for him. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00193.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00194.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00195.jpg first test drive with the trailer! http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00197.jpg then it all went a little overboard, and we went and got a BLUE EDITION cab for an old SCANIA frame I had lying around http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0009.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0010.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0011.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0012.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0013.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0015.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0016.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0017.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0019.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0020.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0024.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0025.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0027.jpg also got a bit of work done on the LARGRCAR, moved the cab about a 1/3" forward, so the grill and bumper fits a bit better. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0035.jpg LOWRIDING http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0034.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/IMG_0032.jpg and last but not least, a couple pics from a road trip last saturday 1932 VOLVO http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00186.jpg 1960 something VOLVO 475 http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00187.jpg 1967/68 VOLVO 495 http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00188.jpg VOLVO FH16 http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00185.jpg my good buddy Johannes in front of the FH. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00191.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00189.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...b/DSC00190.jpg |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
That KH is insane how low can she go, low and long is the only way to roll!!!

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
Is that a private Volvo collection? Some seriously nice machines there. Interesting, I never noticed before that the Volvo emblem is a "male" symbol. Also interesting is that Volvo only went to cab over in mid-late 60's, before that the trucks were kinda US style.
Your own builds are really great too, you have some really clean trucks there, nice work! |
Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS
those r some nice trucks
