So that thing was pried off to start the mark2 setup which shoved the fulcrum outboard.

That's still not really the action i was looking for, so for mark3 the fulcrum was moved down closer to frame height.

Then stuck another servo in there, think i could live with that kind of action. Maybe add another bed mount hinge segment on forward side if needed, but i think this way might give it the right kind of bounce action?

I'm not going to have Blue running gear done by sept for Mini-Truckin at 'Fifties Fest'. Red is a runner if i throw some electronics.

Should i swap the Blue bed mechanism assy over to Red for the meet? Maybe throw together a fixed bed mount for Red, and strap Blue to the trailer?

I guess if you can get the Blue bed working you could put it on the red truck if you want to show the bed working... If you can't get the bed done then I would throw red on the trailer as a WIP....

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

As a rush job i got Red going using Blue bed setup, so that i could hit a meet. But real car issues happened, so no rc meet for me. (Jeep floor wasn't ready for a driver seat, little car can't carry many toys, the big car puked a trans)

I just got a set of batteries, set endpoints, and took video. These trucks either get a 5 cell AA pack, or something smallish. lipo. Lowered and strengthened leading edge of bed interferes with the battery, and the body fitment really suffers without the rear mounting points.

It's not right or ready, but it could cruise.
I also couldn't find the right battery pack for the Benz, or it would have been thumpin' some music in the background.

Been doing some more shaving on Red. Tailgate filled, closing up holes. 'Shave all the things' vs 'Shave some, keep some' Should i keep door handles?

Both are now sitting on axles, on springs.

So what?

Get low Get low Get low Take it to the window

Blue is on a custom plastic front axle, with custom aluminum and gearmotor rear axle. Spring-under
Red is still on the WPL setup detailed earlier. Cut coils and shortened shocks

I may have to swap chassis plans to hide the bed servos under Red body, i didn't realize how much more free space Blue would end up with. May not work that well to just body swap since i shortened blue bed wheelwells some?

If you want Leafs on a C- truck, you're gonna have to redrill the chassis to line it all back up.

Somehow i started following a path about "WPL Ratrod" builds, i found out there are apparently some narrower 'Lowrider' axles a guy could print.

Now your friendly Pooping Robot can help you tuck fender!

Narrow Axles

35 mm wheels

35mm tires

Body-dropped steering servo mount

I dunno, but atleast there are other options for Mini-Truckers.

Once the SLOW boat FINALLY gets here with my final upgrade for my plastic pooping robot, I plan to experiment with some flexible materials. Might could have to send ya another package...................IF/once I finally get er to work properly! It WON'T be any time soon

I really liked the anime cartoon Initial D. The style that the cars were drawn in both the Anime and the Manga looked very cool and brought the 2 Dimensional cars to life. So what about 3D cars done with the techniques and shading of the drawings

I like it!
But the only Japanese vehicles i have are these Trucks, and the Bugeye Scooby. The wrc rally livery is already too busy to do that, but i don't know if it would mix well on (blue) the planned Mint truck with some 80s pastel side graphics

Lot of detail in that truck.... Looks like the module is about $100 usd.... Not really my thing but it does look cool.

Not what i think of as 'Mini Truckin'.
Plus i'd never seen a truck slammed on Dayton wires with a Snorkel and Sidesteps.

I was really impressed with the movements and how well they got it to do that 'lockup bounce'.
