Can't wait to see some pics Paul. Early on it did have some thin alum side plates but I wasn't happy with the stiffness or shape. I switched to the plastic to be able to shape it better. What transmission do you have planned for it. I thought about a 3speed, but never had any luck getting one on ebay.

Re: My scalish tractor build

Well I broke my camera here about 4 weeks ago and I have picks of my 2 other builds on the hard drive of the camera so I have no way of downloading them as I mess up the USB port on it so I am now running on a barrowed camera till my other one comes back in I am hoping next week.

So since I ran out of parts for a semi I am building for a friend till Freddy gets them to me and I ran out of Alum angle for a trailer I am building I thought I would try to salvage the night by working on the tractor so here is what I have..

So tonight I made new chassis side plates out of 1/8 inch alum sheet cut them, drilled them and sanded them and mounted them up..

Then I did a little to the hood and the seat and fender section by buzzing them down with my palm DA and I filled the missing piece in the right side of the hood and put it in K1 primer just so I could see what work I have to do later. I also made a 1/4 inch removable chrome stack too..

So that will be it for a bit I'll be working on Ace's trailer and Ed's body tomorrow again..

Ok finally I am working on this tractor to get it finished up. I have installed a R2 tranny and a 65 turn motor and a 10 tooth pinon gear so it is pretty slow and got lots of tork running a 11.1 Lipo.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cks/004-16.jpg

Also started on the body work and Ill start on a weight rack or rock box not sure for the front of the tractor..

But now I need some input on what you guys think this tractor looks like?? I has the look of a few brands like a Oliver/IH and Minni just not sure witch way to go so lets have some input..

Looks nice, Paul. From the side, it looks a lot like an Allis 8010, but the grille would have to be changed on the front end.

Is this going to be a pulling tractor, or a field tractor?

Thanks much Nate.. I am not a Allis fan so I'll stay clear of that but Minni is the way I am going to go. I am not sure what the tractor is going to be for but I'll figure it out.

Well back at it again been playing with the brass made a roll bar set of steps and case weight bar with real lead case weights..

Well finally got going on finishing this up I was trying to have it done for a big tractor show I was going to go to and just drive it around and pull my beer in in a little wagon but I was not able to finish it before last weekend but I got it pretty much done this weekend..So I decieded it looked closet to a 1850 Oliver and I'm a big old school Oliver fan so first things first off to the paint shop...

Frame and body.. Old school Oliver Green
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...829_212405.jpg

Wheels and ect.. Old school Oliver mint white. Bad Pic Sorry
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...829_212418.jpg

Ok so 24hrs later assembly..

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/013.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/018.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/020.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/017.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/015.jpg

Ok so I made the decals on my computer they came out pretty good as I had to rescale them to fit my size.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy023/016.jpg

So all the guts are in the top of the hood I have it running on 11.1 Lipo plenty of power for sure.. Few other things I did if you look I filled all the holes in the traxxas front wheel to look more right and I also covered the holes in the back wheels with 1" washers I made wheel weights out of I think they look great.. I still have to finish the cab up.. Seat and dash and steering wheel along with lights and a hitch so more to come soon..
