yes here are a few updates ..i got the rear center light plate drilled out and installed clear lenses in it .got the side running board made out of sheet styrene and using the drain plug chain i took it apart and put the loops on the running board.i put the scale 53ft frame under the stainless body and getting ready to install the tridem suspension for it .i need to drill and tap the frame to install the floor/cab mount so i can mount the tranny and the 55t motor ..more pics to come shortly ..thanks for the interest and thanks for the compliments everyone :D

Re: New Build ..Meet Frostbite
here are some updates on this build ..needed more fill to fill the rest of the little blemishes i saw after the first round of sanding.i also added the styrene strip on the sides which will extend past the front to make the custom visor look like it belongs there .did another round of sanding .i cut out the spot for the grille,as well as drilled and cut out the windshield and the body where the light buckets will go ..here are the pics to show the progress

http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psyr2e9ndc.jpg http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psglfllyvp.jpg still lots more to do and lots of fine sanding to get the parts to fit snug and perfect before the prime and paint |
Re: New Build ..Meet Frostbite
for the rear of the cab i decided to do something different..usually there are 2 long stacked air breathers looming up the back to the top and facing the front ...well i want Frostbite to be alittle different .i decided to use the breathers from the kinghauler and join them into one intake at the rear of the cab.i scratchbuilt the double to single intake using evergreen styrene tubing and shaped it to fit both ..this will be another signature mod on my truckhttp://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...psrb2rfx2x.jpg
