Thanks jerry, i think the 1/16 figures look about right for for ordering off the food truck, the Bruder and some other asian figures look pretty happy with it. Though the 1/12 or 1/14 guys might not want to get Ice Cream quite as much?

It seemed like something fun and different for the course.

Making a bunch of Bonsai plants and trees for scenery is getting a little more Mission Creep than i really wanted for the "Build and Drive Scale Weird RC stuff" hobby. Uh, those are some ''tropical plants", not dandelions that keep coming up through the patio.

Understood.... But I never thought about Bonsai trees... I've never had any luck keeping them alive but they would look pretty darn cool on a scale layout

Apparently if you add 'a bunch' of weight to a donor rc car, then don't change gear ratios or motor, still leave the motor wired backwards to the Esc, and don't keep up on cycling your battery pack... it's just not gonna want to run in Forward when you finally do take it to an rc meet.

I finally pulled the motor pod back out and swapped polarity on the motor so now the higher amp side feeds driving forward. It probably really needs a higher torque motor, or better esc, or even just a resistor in series, but i'm probably not going to do that.
Surfers don't have extra money dude

For totally no reason at all, and nothing to do with rental trucks. Totally not anything like a 16' TC or 17' EL moving van.

I've been reading more stuff about Woodie Wagons again, and how it started as more of a commercial vehicle type than trying to be passenger vehicle / family car. I ran across this picture in an article:
