Update on Air Conditioning my pete
Well got the plumbing and electrical done for ac unit, i used a solid copper electrical wire (awg 12 ) for the ac lines and i used telephone wire for the electrical. Oh and i used Tech-Tron 3/32" black heat shrink on wire to give it the insulated look. Just gotta get headache rack back on but here is pics of it finally:D
Mike Here is a shot of the plumbing no straps yet. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g/S7301199.jpg The next 3 are the shots of plumbing with the straps. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g/S7301203.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g/S7301206.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...g/S7301207.jpg |

Fantasic job on adding some very original and realistic detail. The lines couldn't look any better in my book.

That looks really awesome, very nice work! I love adding all the little details on a build, its time consuming but well worth it in the end. > Marty<

Re: Air Conditioning my pete
Thank You everyone for the compliments and kind words. I now one thing i am glad to be here on the board, if it wasn't for everyone's comments and suggestions and taking the time to answer questions, i might still be second guessing myself on some of the stuff i dream up in my head.
There is a vast wealth of knowledge from everyone here.:D Mike |
Re: Air Conditioning my pete
Hey Mike what did you use for the rivet effect on the cab? That really adds to realism.:) >Marty<

Re: Air Conditioning my pete
That turned out really nice! I've never liked the look of the roof top ac units, but the detail it adds definitely makes it worth installing. Very cool!

I used the 1.6mm brass ones on the cab and hood and used the 1.6mm Stainless Steel ones for the grill.Which are super glued in and cut flush on the inside of the cab and grill. There is about 600-700 hand drilled rivets all together ( i think, i lost count somewhere along the way LOL ) i gotta find the pics and will post a build thread later on:D Quote:
