Wow nice bolting. What size are those bolts? Looks a bit challenging doing the ones with the button heads in the blind hole (unless it was done on the machining center)

Wow, that´s top-class! Really inspiring. Those flanges with the ribs seems like a complicated job. How did you do them? Are you using a four- or more axis mill?

By the way, looks like you are using stainless steel. Right?

Thanks.
The bolts are M2 x .4 and they were drill and tapped on a machining center.

Thanks Stefan. The ribs were a problem from the start. It took a long time to find bearings that would fit in the overall design and when I did find the ones that I am using now (Two - 40 x 50 x 6mm), I could not find a place that had any in stock. The design was challenging enough but trying to find a shop to machine them for me was not easy either. When I finally got the parts machined ( on a 5 axis machine)– the shop miss-read the drawing and drilled and tapped the blind holes into the rib pockets. I had to fight to get them to remake the parts for me per the drawing. As you can see I won the fight and the part looks great!

Believe it or not but these parts are all very well machined T6 –6061 Aluminum
