got a bit more done, the front cross member and bumper are roughed in. body mounts are done, and the stake bed are roughed in. ( bed is just sitting on the frame in the photos.

I also got all the electronics temporarily installed and drove it around the living room, everything seems ok, not very much suspension travel but i think it will be fine! |

Re: early 50's ford coe hay hauler
thats some nice work Civ!!!! who do you get your styrene from? im trying to find somewhere that stocks the "good" stuff locally.

Re: early 50's ford coe hay hauler
I generally deal with Paris junction hobbies in Paris or grand river hobbies in Kitchener, both stock evergreen styrene products. All the flat sheet I use is offcuts I get for free from a local sign shop

Re: early 50's ford coe hay hauler
In the words of the great Peter Griffin, "FREAKIN' SWEET!"
Yeah...maybe an orangey red and brown on the railings, try to make them look like genuine timber. Would be awesome looking and genuine old school. Well done. |
Re: early 50's ford coe hay hauler
small update, pretty much got the body completely smoothed out, so I decided to shoot some paint on it to see how it looks, I used black because thats what I had on hand, what does everybody think? I still think either a dark (british racing?) green or a deep red? opinions anyone?
