Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...h/SSPX3936.jpghad to drill and tap the frame to install the fuel tanks and battery holder from the knight hauler because when the drome box is installed behind the cab there will be no access to the inside battery compartment

Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...h/SSPX3937.jpghad to notch the battery holder because of the angle of the driveshaft

Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
awsome prgress so far! i love the idea of using the haulers battery box to relocate it. And yes for adding more pics i just open 2 windows, one with photobucket and one for the forum, copy/paste. just hit enter to drop down to the next line, or type your text for that photo hit enter anc paste the next photo.. im gonna watch this build!! I love cabovers but i love the moving trucks. I got plans for one from united van lines thats got a crazy stretched sleeper and boxes.. but that build is a ways off yet. Cant wait to see more!!

Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
I like the stretched frame, that's going to look sharp when it's done.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...vero_beach.jpg Sorry Not trying to hijack your thread.. The box you have your MFU controls in, is that the hauler steps? I am looking for a way to mount mine without it sitting on top of my frame. |
Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
yes its the king hauler steps .i was going to use the fuel tanks and battery box from the aeromax and mount the mfu switch in the bottom of the aeromax fuel tank which is where it mounts when you build that truck but i like the chrome ones from the knight hauler much better

Re: kenworth k-100 cabover moving truck and trailer
http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...h/SSPX4035.jpghere is the frame for the drome box .i used the top and bottom rails from the tamiya box trailer and the doors.normally drome boxes open only on the right side for curbside loading but i an=m putting one door on both sides because you never know which side of the street you will need to park on.now to add the panels then off to the paint shop:D:D
