Cool build Paul. I think it looks just right. I used to see a lot of these cruising around in my neck of the woods. I'm located between a few modular home builders, and they used to drive past a lot, pulling half a house, but I have not seen any for a long time now. Anyway, it's looking really good. I think the body in back of the cab looks especially nice.

OK now that we have determined that you know what you are talking about make sure you get two major components on the toter.

The wide rearview mirrors and the 6ft adjustable ball on the back. Remember you are pulling something that is 12 to 16 ft wide.

Great start...........

LOL thanks much Wade always the guy with the facts :p I already have a plan for the rear views and I have sort of a plan on the pogo stick but I have to run it by the master of screw drives to see what he thinks.

Thanks much Nate! We have a few around here and the housing market really put the screws to them but the used mobile house market seams to be good from what I here.. Thanks for the comment...

Ok I got some of the trim work done today you can see here

Before

After..Now it matches the bottom of the cab I also trimmed it out around the top of the sides edge.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/004-2.jpg

Also I copyed the way the mirrors were mounted in a pick of a real one and I made them out of brass and they slide out to a width of 16 inches..

In..

Looks good Paul , don't give up on the dremel I did that a couple times . pull the brushes make sure they slide . mine gets stuck when it gets hot . sometimes you have to pull it apart and clean the ( don't know the part name) section where the brushes are so it's a nice shinny copper again .

Paul if it's all right - I'm gonna have to sue your mirror mount idea - Ive tried to solder my mirror brackets to the tube twice and broke every time.....nice engineering!

Overall looks really good - I'll have a nice suprise for you come St. Louis!

Thanks much Chris and yeah i have no prob with that I just used the idea off the 2 picks of the brown toters above that is how they are mounted on them. You cant see it in the pick but I have 2 1/4 pieces of brass soildered on the back and then the screw for the windshield screws into it.

I got most of the Jack made tonight for the back of the truck.. It will be able to lift around 4 inches or better high. It is built out of alum and then has a derlin shim on the inside so it slides freely up and down. I will have a spring pulling down and use a winch hid under the be to pull up one the sled the hitch is hooked too. So here is what i have..

I agree with Freddy but I forsee a problem. You might want to make the moveable hitch piece out of delrin instead of just a shim. Any type of pressure on it with metal to metal contact will cause it to bind.
Oh ya, where is the side to side movement mechanism? Ones I looked at had this plus in and out controls.

Lynn there is no metal to metal the alum slides in derlin..and I am not doing the side to side no all of them have that and some don't even have the lift!
