It's coming along nicely Travis, the video looks good, I can't wait to see the soft top on it!

Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
That's AWESOME I need to look through my stuff as I believe I have some of those gears and chain already.

Looking good Travis.

Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
Hi, could you add some more pictures and information on your rear axle setup? I'am planning on building something similar and always looking for inspiration. Great project!

He he... evil minds think alike:

Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
I knew better than click on a link from you (Jeff):eek: Someone actually makes the body for the armored version :jaw: Wish I would have seen this earlier :mad: Would have saved lots of time!! Only thing wrong with the kit is the lack of chain drive for the rear axles on the tractor. Looks like there might be something missing from the trailer also. I will let you find it!!!
Sorry but you will have to ask Travis to post any pics of the drive line as he has the model. |
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
Oh, just go ahead and tell me because I'll never figure it out PLUS... I do believe these are just prototype pictures.
I won't be going for a 100% accurate vehicle, just one that works. My wallet won't allow that to happen. :D Jeff |
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
had a chance to see this truck in oerson down at Travis' the other day - it is huge! the books that Lynn rounded up for reference were awesome as well.
BTW the trailer is coming along nicely as well. |
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)

Travis has made a lot of progress on the trailer in my opinion. Until I threw him a curve.:D:eek::D He just need to post some pics.

I snuck in a pic of this a month ago but nobody had caught it yet even with Lynn and I poking at the thread a little.:D:D |
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
Is that the scale art? looks good so far!
|
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
Nope, it is the Carson with all electric system. Running it on 7.4V makes it just about the right speeds for me. Not too fast and not too slow. Just need to add some decals now!!

Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
A curve? Looks like a whole different game! Awesome model, Lynn, and great job Travis. Looking forward to seeing this at Indy.

Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
All electric? So no hydraulic at all? I think I've seen this one on the site uses all screw drive actuators. That's pretty cool but is the lifting power the same? I'm saving up for My wheel loader. It's slowly getting there
|
Re: tc1cat's M25 Dragon Wagon (Now drivable)
Thanks, guys. Travis did a great job assembling and painting the loader for me. The Carson was designed for all electric. They came out with the hydraulics as an option after the fact. I want an excavator in the worst way but just can't get past the hydraulics with all of the electrics in such a small space. 1 of these days, I will break down and get an excavator and just have to bite the bullet of the hydraulics. Or I will get the lead out of my butt, and make an excavator but it will not be yellow, orange, or green. I think a few guys on the forum know what I want but it would be a LONG build as I don't think that I can buy very much out of ready made parts for it. The tracks scale out to be 3" wide :eek:
