that truck looks sexy allready!

Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
Looking great Paul. I like the smaller diameter rim and tire combo on the lift axle. That's pretty cool. True to the original.

Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
Well I have been building away on the 2 trucks finally I have some progress pics to show..
I have the wrap around half fenders mounted they still need to be sanded and polished. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...161520_214.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...172432_109.jpg Bumper is mounted and rear frame plate is installed. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...161530_348.jpg Front fenders are mounted and the cab and sleeper roofs are rounded. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...192046_424.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...171053_805.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...171101_789.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...174149_220.jpg And I have the lift axle all finished and working.. I used a Hiteck digitail metal geared Hi Tork servo that is programmed to move at more of a scale speed as you can see it is set up to push on springs so that way the servo is not over working and the lift can go up and down under load.. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...164321_658.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...164507_005.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...164500_855.jpg |
Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
Looking really good Paul, is that tag axle one of Russ's designs?
|
Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
that's awesome! just one quick question though. don't you need a screw in the servo to keep the servo horn on?

Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
Hi Tamiya Cowboy.
That is some really nice work you have done so far on HOT IRON 1 & 2. I started building my first truck last weekend, its a king hauler. Still don't know what color I am going to paint it yet but I will be buying a metal bull bar from Garden trucking for it as well. From Cameron. :) |
Re: Bull It Angus 379 Build "HOT IRON"
Sweet rig! Any color choices picked out yet?
