Welcome to the forum, Darwin. There are a lot of great people here to make friends with and a wealth of knowledge on the site. :)

I like what you did with the whole unit. That is a Master Build.

If you have any tips about how to make the curb window, I'd appreciate it.
I've wanted to install one in to a couple of my trucks, but I'm at a loss as to how to make it come out that nice.

The trailer suspension is also very nice. If you have more photo's, please post them. :D

Thanks for the nice comments and that also goes for everyone else! I appreciate all of them. If it wasn't for these type of forums I would never have gotten involved with this hobby if there weren't like minded people. I love reading all the posts and looking at all the awesome pictures and builds. Gives me inspiration!

As far as the curb window goes, I think for the window itself I used a piece from an r/c aircraft window, but any thin piece of clear or tinted window from a toy truck or even the old Lego house windows, they were clear or tinted I think, just pop out the lense and that would work for the glass.

The rubber molding is a thin rubber o-ring , the grommet kind that has the groove in it, that I cut to the right length and glued in around window opening in the door. I just used a tiny amount of glue in the groove so none of it squished out on to the outside of the door. Once the glue dried I think I took a razor blade and shaved the part of the o-ring off that protruded to the inside of the door giving me a mostly flat area on the inside. Then I cut a piece of plastic glass a little larger than the opening so no glue would squish into view and glued it flat against door and o-ring.

That was 6 years ago but I believe that is how I did it. I had spent many many hours already lengthening hood, cutting the front fenders off and reshaping them, filling in the hood etc. and THEN I think "oh lets put in a curb window". Luckily it went fine, but I would definitely cut the hole first before spending lots of time elsewhere in case it goes wrong and you ruin or crack the cab when cutting hole. I was very nervous cutting a hole in the door after I had spent so much time on the body work as I worried something bad would happen and I would crack the whole cab or ruin something. :) Thanks again for the compliments!

As said before, beautiful combo. What did you use for the decking on the trailer? Really looks the part.

Thanks! The bottom deck is just .032 aluminum sheet, the top deck has 3 pieces of 1.5" x 1/8" flat bar in the middle, a couple of wood nail strips and the outside railing is made from 1"x 1" angle ripped down to 1/2" for the sides. Darwin

Yes I am considering it as I made jigs and patterns for the pieces so I can replicate it all now, so yes it is something I think I want to do. I think my first plan is to sell the suspension system and see how that goes and then make some trailers. Thanks, Darwin

Well thank you very much , I appreciate that and anywhere there is truck talk and pictures of trucks, I am happy there! Wish there were twice as many weekends in a month so I could have more time to play and peruse the forums! :D

Awsome I love this unit it is simple and gets it's point across without all the crazy add on's. The trailer is beautifully done well thought out and put together top notch.
