Any idea's for axle upgrade's?

Cheer's, Neil.

That is funny Neil:D:D. No it's Because The dealer is in Cali, I'm sure you knew that. I say let's see if we can get a group buy, we can see if maybe we can get it down to let's say......$3000 shipped?? this way we have a little free funds to upgrade things as needed:rolleyes:

Stuart, does each country within the European Union pay 19% tax for all goods & services or is it only Germany that is that high?

Its 19.6% in France, due to go up in January to 20% (or so i've heard), 20% in the uk too, not sure about the rest but I suspect something similar, Hungary is a wopping 27%!

There are however reduced rates for foodstuffs, books, medical suplies etc,etc

Re: RC4WD Loader

Ha, I agree with Ayoub, that is funny!!!
I would guess the California thing is because the manufacturer made a deal with RC4WD that if they sell direct to a customer in the US (were the buyer does not buy through RC4WD) they not will sell to someone in California because that is where RC4WD is located... That is all I could come up with for a reason.. Pretty stupid isn't it?? Yes I thought that was weird when I first read it. But I am sure they want to sell their product and will sell to whoever wants to buy it. Which means that you don't have to go through the Dealer. Maybe the dealer for this will be adding even more money to get their cut....
Thanks,
Eddie

Re: RC4WD Loader

guys- have you seen the weight of this on the Swiss dealers website?

Gewicht: ca. 34kg

Surely that can't be correct?!

Lil Giants 12-13-2013 06:41 AM

Re: RC4WD Loader

Yeah, I noticed that too... it might be 34lbs, the measurement originally used for the American market, seeings how RC4WD is their main distributor... but even that's a stretch! :D

The excavator claims to be 44lbs to this day... it aint anywhere close, even with the tx sitting on it too. I don't have a scale to weigh it, I think it's around +- 30lbs.

Re: RC4WD Loader

So after looking at the video a few more times, noticed that this loader is huge!! they have it on a Goldhofer and it makes it look tiny, since I have one, that loader will just look so out of scale for my taste. So gonna pass on this one. Now if I got one as a gift, I wouldn't say no :D

Re: RC4WD Loader

Hopefully it is better than the excavator they sell I have never been happy with mine seams funny you buy a new model and then you have to redo it when you get it but hey Wedico is the same way.

Re: RC4WD Loader

I just measured my Stahl WA500
L - 660
W - 230
H - 270

This HK model is about 10% bigger.

Anybody know what model Komatsu this is suppose to represent yet?

sparkycuda 12-14-2013 06:04 PM

Re: RC4WD Loader

It isn't a Komatsu. The rear hood makes me think of a Leihberr but not sure what it is.

Re: RC4WD Loader

I don't think it's supposed to be any of the 1 : 1 brands, I don't think any of those brands using double linkage for the bucket, but to me it looks like a mix between a liebherr and a Volvo. And it should be about the same size as the wa500 from Fumotec I think.

Will be interesting to see more of it.

Re: RC4WD Loader

Well, from what I have seen in the video, they are having problems with the front drive. Seems the drive for the front tires does not want to work some times. You'll see it in the beginning when he first backs up - rear tires dig a hole, fronts are not driving, you can see both front tires, so I know it's not just a differential thing. You know something's up because he stopped for a second too, for no reason. Watch again carefully and you'll see other times the front drive isn't working, a slight jerkiness to the movement, probably why he's going so slow too. As said, those axles aren't going to last long either pushing 5" plus tires!!

I'll pass!!!

Re: RC4WD Loader

What axles are in this model? The same ones used in the Armageddon dump truck, I assume? That's kind of what it looks like, but it's hard to tell.

Re: RC4WD Loader

It looks like it will have great potential but as long as that hydraulic tank is attached it one side door of the drivers cab , I feel it looks very weird and unreal.

its still a differential axle without locking. that is why sometimes left wheel is not turning as the differential gear had transfer the turning to right side wheel. will one the taiwanese had post some work sheet. the rim hub are built in planetary gearer system cause the slow travel. however, i think itself do not have enough weight to press itself grip to the earth.

It's on the RC4WD site, but listed as "Out of Stock".

Re: RC4WD Loader

It "looks" good. I like that it is big and heavy too. Hopefully having planetary axles will help keep those center sections together cause they sure look small between those tires...

Re: RC4WD Loader

Well, at least the cost is a tad less than the China rep quoted me.
I think the look of the loader is cool. Structural appears very strong. Wow, 45LBs!! It looks like it has plenty of room in that humped back for a good size 3s. I am sure it will need it.
Someone else brought up the axles and tranny on this loader, I think that would be the biggest question mark.
Also I am pretty sure it has that extra valve to control the oil pressure along with all of their same hydraulic set up like I had in my HK excavator (that I removed). Just can't get used to that hydraulic sound.
I like the cab, the bucket, the fake brake calipers, the lights, and the overall size.
