I'm hoping to have a trommel at the event to screen material. Woodhog is working on that and it's harvest time for him so I'm not sure we'll see it.

We have 13 people that are coming with a few maybes in there.

Hotel says 15 rooms minimum for a discount rate. We're at about 6-7 rooms now.

If you cannot afford the hotel and really want to come. You're more than welcome to crash at my place. I have floor space for multiple airbeds and the fold-out couch is currently not spoken for. I make no promises you won't be accompanied with a sleeping companion that is dog-shaped. He is king of all sleeping surfaces in the house.

When I worked for a lawn care company in the past we used to spray round up, let it brown up, then we had a large propane torch to burn the weeds off, since the roots can sometimes be problematic. If you can get your hands on one they work really well, but make sure to walk backwards when using it, otherwise you might melt your shoes....:eek:

Travis is bringing rubber so we can play inside the hangar if weather doesn't cooperate. All depends how the weather shapes up. Temperature this last weekend was a bit on the cold side with the wind.

I sprayed the first application of roundup this weekend. Worse case on the Friday before we'll only have to rake the dead stuff.

You say hangar....would there also happen to be a runway?

Oh I see, r/c hangar lol, don't think I can land a 1:1 there. Just looked and I was just in your area a few weeks ago picking up an irrigation pivot I bought from a guy up there that I bet you know of, Paul Kline, just down the road...

The word filter on here won't let me express my true opinion of Paul. I was unfortunate enough to grow up and go to school with him.

Well on a different note, I got your PM Nathan thanks for the info, I guess I'll wing it this trip for a room and see what happens.

Just heard both hotels in Monticello are booked. If you need a room and haven't booked yet, you can stay in Champaign or Decatur. Both are 20 miles from the field along I-72.

Schedule for next weekend will approximately be:

Friday - Myself and likely Travis/Izzy will be at the field setting up. Should be there late. If you arrive around dinner time, wait a bit and we should be back.

Saturday - I will be there 8am at the latest and plan to stay until I can't feel my brain working anymore (11-12pm)

Sunday - I'll be there again @ 8am and will stay as late as anyone wants to play. Last time we ended at about noon.

If it rains or we decide it's too cold/windy, we have crushed rubber to be able to play with inside the hangar.

Pete will not be there to cook food for us this time so we can order food as a group or go on our own. I will have bottled water on hand for everyone. Thinking about cooking some brats/burgers on Saturday night.

I don't have a head count as of yet but the entrance fee will not exceed $20. Last event we were able to donate $300 to the club and cover Pete's expenses for food.

You do have the option to join our club with a "Track Access Membership" for $40 per year. If you plan on attending the spring and fall show it's basically the same cost but gives you access to the site year round. New members applying until the end of this year are paid up until Dec. 2015 so you can save $20 if you apply now. I know some of you guys further away are unsure if you can make it so it's fine if you prefer to pay per event.

Not to jinx it, but it's looking like the weather is going to cooperate with us. Low 70s for the highs.

I don't think you'll jinx it, I've been watching it and it looks like it's going to be really nice!
