Why 3x esc's? are 2 for the actuators and 1 for the wheel motors?

Can you post some videos of it working once all parts are present, how much do you think it will lift?

Yes the tailgate works great! It's the only space that isn't a foot deep in $h!t all the time! I never get too much stuff stacked on there because I may need to leave in a hurry for some reason. All of my benches are cluttered because I'm a hoarder.;)

Thanks, will do. I'm not sure how much it will lift but I think more than the plastic will stand before breaking.

The easy part is done. Now I have to make the mounts. Once those are done I plan to add a few more details.

Well an aluminium bucket would be great if your selling them, also it would be a way of adding an attachment mechanism on, as I wish to have the ability to load a set of tynes to use as a fork loader for moving containers and pallets around on rough surfaces.

Thanks men! I made a little more progress on the buckets today. Here's a few pictures to show one mounted on the machine and a video will follow eventually of it in action. The buckets are bigger than the stock one. I widened them about 1/2" because it seems like most of the conversions end up with a wider wheel track. The are also a little deeper because of the curved front and have height added to keep dirt from going over the back. I still want to add more detail before I call them done but I think the are coming together nicely. They are also a good bit stronger than stock!

Haha, when I get caught up on my current "to do" list, I will attempt a Bruder D10 or D11, whatever they call that. I have to scratch build a truck first though...

Hey Reg, by chance can you tell us what ratio of actuators you are using? I'd like to do the same type of conversion I'm just not sure what ratio I need to get for decent speed and power.

I'm using 210:1 on the boom and 100:1 on the bucket. Both are 6v.

Well, I think the buckets are nearly finished. I welded on all the mounts and gave them all a test fit.
