Thought I might share my walking on water experience. Live a righteous life and gravity will release its hold upon you.

Re: Gravel screener build
Since the weather has started warming up, I took the liberty to get started on the infrastructure for the RC work site. I'm going to etch out a nice portion for the gravel screener. http://https://youtu.be/soCc9jUnBK8

Re: Gravel screener build
well almost done with the concrete on the lay out. Soon I will also paint it with black top sealer and paint in some road lines. I will be seated about here next to the beer. I think its a perfect distance away.http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psuidq6qtz.jpg

Re: Gravel screener build
Great site ! It's tempting to make a visit ..........:)

Re: Gravel screener build
Pretty sweet!

Re: Gravel screener build
Well it took some time, and I got some more concrete on sale at home depot. I finished the last portion of the road. I took a spin around a few times with the truck and trailer for a test run.

Re: Gravel screener build
I'm now ready to expand. NEED more road!!!!!!

Re: Gravel screener build
so on the finishing up on the gravel sifter/sorter, I mounted a new geared motor that has the appropriate speed and strength. I chose to go with direct drive for less moving parts. I also had to raise the screen about a 1 1/2".http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...pszaj6w8d6.jpg
|
Re: Gravel screener build
Then I raised the height of the bay walls.http://http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psc4levmch.jpg

Re: Gravel screener build
I was wondering should I make a shaker feeder or buy another Bruder conveyor to make a feeder.? And was thinking painting it red.

Re: Gravel screener build
make the hopper mouth bigger for pay loaders and bad excavtor operators
|
Re: Gravel screener build
I had this trough I was working on a while ago and was thinking it would make a nice vibrating hopper.
http://http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psg7ndzqmz.jpg I goin to make a few cuts and add a few pieces to it and see if it can work. http://http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psyghzuj2n.jpghttp://http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...pscnblmamq.jpg |

Re: Gravel screener build
I used the vibrating motor from the Tamiya MFU kit.

Re: Gravel screener build
I like this build, you have given me some good idea's.
|
Re: Gravel screener build
The feed hopper is looking great! Nice work.
I also used a tamiya vibration motor on my feed chute. Controlled by a radio channel so I have complete control of what speed to use. There's another very cheap way to have very good speed control. I like it so much, I bought a few and use for testing stuff and in projects. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-DC-6V-90V...gAAOSwWTRWwppP |
Re: Gravel screener build

Re: Gravel screener build
Well I wound up painting it red and black. Its not my best paint job, but its going to be covered in dust and dirt anyway. for now its nice and shiny. Tomorrow I will give it a test run. And I will take a video of it in action.

Re: Gravel screener build
I'm going to have to do another test run before the weather changes. Its going to be sunny tomorrow but a little rain is suppose to pass threw. So before it does I need to find out if its going to need some more modifications.
|
Re: Gravel screener build
Looks great! Looking forward to see it at work

Re: Gravel screener build
So here goes my test run. I shot 2 videos, the first run and then I tinkered with it and shot another. I wound up changing the elevation of it seeing the ground was pitched to wrong way and it seems to work fine. Other than a few thing here and there.
