Re: My globe
Thanks for all the kind words guys. Small little update, came up with my own tank brackets since I'm not to fond of the ones tamiya provides. LMK what you think:confused: They started out as 1''x1/4'' aluminum bar stock.

Re: My Globe
hay that cab over pete i see on the way to princeton mn hwy 169 with the curtain side for sale isnt yours is it. i go through zimmerman daily on my way to deerwood and aitkin. what kind of remote do you have for the globe. did you try messing with the trims! can you hear it grinding or anything?
|
Re: My Globe
see guys... us minnesota boys can build to.......LOL
love the stance on the truck!!! outstanding paint |
Re: My Globe
Thanks spudd:D
Cory, That cab over is an '88 frieghtliner. I heard it has a b-modle cat backed by a 13spd and that both only have 1000 miles and the work was done by ziegler cat, two new rear ends last summer and riding on a nice comfy 280'' wb. I guess he wants 20k for it. If I had the money it would in my drive way hooked to my scrap wagon. As for my globe, i'm using the rds8000 and hear no grinding. I'll try the trim trick. thanks a ton. BTW was that you on 694 on friday morning? |
Re: My Globe
Yes sir i get on at rice street i was heading west to plymouth took 1 1/2 hours to get there with that baby snow storm!!! i have the same remote as you and the trims are tricky and find myself always messing with them on my knight hauler . Yeah i got a quik look at it and he just had the trailer before and then i noticed the truck about a week ago it is nice looking accept he has it angled away from the road! i swear it was a pete but you sure have the stats on it. i had a guy named robert on here help me to get mine moving had to reset alot of the options on the remote or reverse them!

Re: My Globe
Have a small update. Started some more work on the trailer. Polished the rails and added Russ's air ride.
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1346972361.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1346972773.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1346973430.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1351212781.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1351212895.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1351212979.jpg Still some work to do on the air ride. |
Re: My Globe
Nice work on the polishing! Looks very good and unique!
|
Re: My Globe
Boy that sure is one heck of a polish job on that trailer...you will need sun glasses on when running outside LOL... looks awesome...
|
Re: My Globe
Thanks for the comments guys. Have a small update for ya.
First off I lowered the stance a little bit. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352763090.jpg Then rounded up some brass to start the rub rails. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352764727.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352764545.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352763192.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352763993.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352764237.jpg http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...1352763310.jpg Still need to find a place to get them chromed and find some 1.6mm or 2mm nuts and bolts to secure them to the side rails of the trailer. Anybody know where to get small hardware? |
Re: My Globe
Looking great!!! Lets see a shot of the full truck with the wagon!! I wanna see!!! :)
|
Re: My Globe
Despite the dead photo links, the photos that are still working look awesome. The truck and trailer are gorgeous! I like the trailer a lot. The rub rail is perfect. I also like the lights. What a sharp set-up. I can't tell from the photos, but why are there two motors inside the cab? One for a wet kit, but the other one, opposite it?
|
Re: My Globe
Thanks Nate, still a long way to go on it. One motor is for the wet kit and the other is the MFU shaker motor.
|
Re: My Globe
Ahh, okay, I was wondering about that. Makes perfect sense. An end dump must be in the near future..... :D
|
Re: My Globe
I'm hoping so! I've got my eye on a three in one sheer/brake/roller. Gonna try my hand at a Mac half round end dump.
