Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Doff doff music I got that too, your falcon will bag up pretty good but that's later Saturday night Lol, Richard ( rcroadtrain) would know if it has ac. It should be a good size hall to start with. At least Saturday will go ahead if its wet which the weather said showers are possible Saturday or if its hot we got shade either way. I think we have 5 that I know and Richard has the same. Going to research a couple of commercial real estate agents to see if we might be able to hire a factory unit for one day I know people who have done it before.

|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
at the moment, we have about 10 who say they are coming..
no, the hall doesnt have a/c... it does have very good ventilation, and very good insulation, and nestled behind trees. It doesnt get hot. best thing is: it has great natural light. another venue would be good, if someone can find one. just remember, you'll need to source you own public liability insurance. its included in the rent with this hall. as far as music's concerned, if its not doing 140, its standing still. I'm into Happy Hardcore. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
There you go DJASA you got any happy hardcore in ya mix.2 radius arms,4 shocks an half a aeromax bumper says u dont lol.
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers

|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Hey, listen here IMR-620, "What Happens At The Track Stays At The Track",LOL
No Carniage Please i just couldnt handle it. Hi Richard i had a majour stuff up at the race track we went to last time, my old man lost control of my knight hauler and i watched him smash it then i smashed my aeromax because i was watching him then broke the front biumper in half. Not Happy Jane. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Half a bootle of red bull or "v" with two No-doze tablets shake well and skull plus some wild or Ministry of sound and your good to go for another 6 hours trust me.
I agre totally if its not doin 140 its standing still happy Hardcore |

|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
All in all it was a great day my dad and I haven't been on a track together in many years plus my step brother was driving one of my trucks which he is new at. We both are very use to watching each other at the track but it just went bad not to worry both trucks are in fantasic shape, I do believe that the bumper getting broken in transit from Florida has made it a little fragile but it's good now and ready for Saturday.
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
For those who missed the pic here's the encore photo (stay clear of truck drivers there 1:1 habits carry down to there rc trucks)LOL:D:D:D

Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
so now if i see a "V" or redbull on the day im gonna start to worry yeh..
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
..Ive got one like that on my aeromax...except its the other side..
couple of weeks ago, my daughter had a schoolfriend over, and he drove my 1:18 into it... rolled my globeliner, too... |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Yeah i think the bumper is weak, i cant blame anyone else except me but i bet you wanted to throttle that school friend Richard.
I shold be right without a bootle of v on the weekend work gone dead again another day off tomorrow with no pay that hurts. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
driven down those stairs to the hall is gonna be like going down Mt oozly with out the bends lol. hope you made enought ramps DJASA hehe...
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
ahh! there's a little trick to that...:D
there's a concrete footpath off the side street thats gently sloping, and in excellent condition. :) |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
OOOOHHman no joy with the photobucket
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
hmm.. had a great day, met a lot of nice people,
unpacked the car last night, and.. I seem to be missing one of these: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...adtrain/1b.jpg and all the video and photos on it. also a suction mount, the type that would attach a cam to a windscreen. I hope its just a case of someone packing it by mistake. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
had a great day, finally registered myself into the forum.
was a great fun day :) |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Hi all fantastic day already planning another meet for November. Richard I last saw the camera mounted on the mirror finish box trailer will post on facebook page to see if anyone has seen it.
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
yep, thats the one, but when the mem card got full I took it off and put the box away.
the mount thats missing was the one the other camera was mounted on... everything else made it home, as far as I can tell... |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
so whats gone astray a mount a camera the the thing in the photo or all of the above??an will ya have a chance to check if its still at the hall before anybody else uses it
|
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
the thing in the photo is a camera... a Kodak Zx1.
and a suction mount. http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...rain/mount.jpg the mount's cheap, I can replace that for about $5. the camera wasnt. I checked the hall completely before closing the door, and my daughter did the same. we both made certain there was nothing left behind. its turned a great day into a bummer. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
FOUND IT!!!!
Both the camera and the mount were in the bruder box for the fencing and roadmarkers, while the fencing and roadmarkers were stuffed into a bruder container.. being so light I thought it was the roadmarkers... until I put the containers away and heard the rattle... pays to tidy up a bit. might do that.... now I can process the piccies!!!!! YAY!!!! |

Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Hey richard for the kind folks on http://www.rctruckandconstruction.com can you show us your 20+ trailer roadtrain and you reversing it ????
Cheers Tracy |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
you know you dont reverse roadtrains, Tracy.
..I was thinking of bringing the trailers, and doing a roadtrain pull..... ...but they wont all fit in the car!! :) while I'm here: Thanks Tracy and Adrian, for chipping in for the pizzas...it was appreciated by everyone. |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
one trailer at a time.
you keep adding trailers to the front of the chain one at a time. two if you're really good. :) |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
nice clips.. did you read the comments? nearly all said "better you than me"
yes, it can be done. It needs someone who has experience/skill.. And no, in real life it RARELY happens. One comment on those clips was 'If I caught a driver of mine doing this, I'd fire him.' ..bit harsh, but there you go. ..and yes Tim, I have driven trucks. I've been licensed to drive roadtrains for over 20 years. Tim, if you know nothing about me..... |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Just wondering richard if you have pic's of you posing with the roadtrains you have driven over the years like all proud truck drivers do ???
Cheers Tracy |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
pics? hmm.. bit of a sore subject, that....
I lost my 35mm camera, and all my photos when I broke up with my ex-wife in Perth. I had about 8 shoeboxes of photos. all gone. breaks my heart when I think of all the money I spent on photos, all the time setting up shots, only to lose the lot. ..as I said, bit of a sore point.... got some digital pics of a HR I was driving for a while (that one was more recent).. but none from my artic days, sorry. there was some good shots, too... just thinking of those photos make me hate the ex that little bit more..... |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
Hi Ralph,
not under the 'syd 14 scale' banner, the meets here are now co-ordinated by Adrian as 'Tamiya RC Semi Trucks NSW' on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/tamiyarcsemitrucksnsw We now meet monthly (roughly, work commitments sometimes vary the date) at St Clair. Cheers, Richard |
Re: Sydney 14 Scale Modelers
No Worries,
