Freddy- who's cylinders are you using for the angle cylinders? I know you said you were hoping for snow because of Big Bud and this truck, but what about the tandem axle with the plow and salt/sand box and spreader?

No doubt! One fine rig. I wasn't sure if those were from PMD or not, they look good. Hopefully I will see a few of them sometime here in the very near future.

Fred I a curious where the little man that runs this going to sit? Did you think of putting a cover over the bed and putting some of the electric's in there I know you are going to run a goose neck trailer but you could put a cover around were the fifth wheel is and use that space. Ed

FreddyGearDrive 09-28-2010 04:49 PM

Re: My F-350 4x4 Dually

Ed,the bed is only half as deep as it should be in real life.Tamiya left a nice place to stash the goodies. & like you said, trailer.
Well made the lower push bar & mounts.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4573.jpg
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4571.jpg
Then the plow pin mounts,& now she hanges on the truck.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4574.jpg
This is the blade in normal push mode.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4578.jpg
This is the dumped (TRIP) mode.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4579.jpg

Your looking good Fred but even if the bed i:cool:s half as deep you could still cover it like a tarp and stash things in there. Ed

Re: My F-350 4x4 Dually

Ed,I'm wrong about there being half the bed on top open. There's a whopping 1/2 inch of space.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4583.jpg
All the room is under the bed,& that's gunna be packed full also!
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...mppics4585.jpg
Well front plow is ready for paint.

Wow, that is some fine machine work, Fred. This is a crazy set-up! I can't believe you managed to fit all the needed electronic and hydraulic gear into the chassis, plus the cab still fits! Amazing. Probably the one of the cooler Tamiya Highlift builds I've seen. Most guys just crawl or run the trails with their trucks, but you are going to push some serious snow.
