CORVETTE RACING
Well, after looking at the front fenders, they didn't look right with the lopro tires. So I decided to change them. I think this looks way better. I have a lot of work to do, to make them look correct. This is a good start.

Re: CORVETTE RACING
WOW your body work is awesome!!!! Great job that trailer is my fav yet!

Re: CORVETTE RACING
That's the way, wolfws6! I was going to suggest that you try and do something with the front fenders on the truck, once you posted photos, and now you've gone and taken care of that little detail. Nice job! I'm glad you decided to do it. The truck will look 1,000 times better with the new fenders! Did you make them out of some type of PVC pipe? They look great.

After the remodel of my ketchen:mad: I finally got some time to work on it. Well I have half of the trailer done!!!!
So I hope to get this done soon, so I can start working on the tractor. Thanks for looking!!! http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...6/DSCN1363.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...6/DSCN1351.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...6/DSCN1355.jpg |

Very nice truck

I finally made the generator box for the front of the trailer. I think I'm going to make some doors or somthing, it needs more detail IMO. I don't know if I like it, what do you guys think?

Re: CORVETTE RACING
Wow, the trailer looks awesome all lit up! I like that. As for the generator enclosure, I think it's all right. Maybe make that ventilation opening with the screen a little larger, and like you mentioned, add a door or two. Something to break up the smooth flat surfaces of it a little, even though the real ones are quite smooth too.

Almost done, except for some minor details!!!!! NOW ON TO THE TRACTOR!!!!:D Thanks for lookin'

Re: CORVETTE RACING
I like this build. Can't wait to see more. What size car could this trailer haul?

CORVETTE RACING
Here is a little update. I've been working on the rear of the truck. I've mounted the rear fenders so no bolts or screws show. Built the deck plate and rear tail panel. Also installed the bezels. Oh and Rodney the trailer can fit probably a 1/12 car. Slow going but more to come. Thank you.

CORVETTE RACING
Well I finally decided on what I'm going to do for head lights. Since my KW is turning out to be more of a custom largecar, I cut up the front bumper and installed the head lights there!!!! The head lights are from True Scale and I still need to bare metal foil them. I almost have to rear done too. Thanks for looking and more to come.

Re: CORVETTE RACING
Coming along nicely! I do wonder though.....what some single round Peterbilt style headlights would look like on your KW. I've seen a few 1:1 Kenworth trucks running them, and it's different and unique. Looks kind of cool, in my opinion. Even cooler with the visors on them.

Re: CORVETTE RACING
Wow wolf that baby is looking great. I had the same 94 W900L less of a stretch and standard headlights of course. I really need to build my truck someday. How complicated was it to build that aerodyne sleeper? And would you do it again? LOL

Re: CORVETTE RACING
I think the ones you currently have, but recessed flush into the bumper would be a great look.

Re: CORVETTE RACING
Awesome rig! really blew me away. i actually was looking through this build and thought to myself that i liked how it was ooking without headlights and thought about them in the bumper. then continue on and there you have it. i think id have to agree with lilgiant tho i think it would look better recessed either way truck is amazing! keep up the great work cant wait to see it finished!
|
Re: CORVETTE RACING
and another thought as i looked at it again what about leds across the bottom of the bumper and use half for each turn signal? i think would look cool myself just an idea. just thought maybe id through that out there.

CORVETTE RACING
Small update: All the things on the cab are finally mounted! Got the clearance lights, horns, air cleaners and lights. The fenders are mounted also. I fixed the visor so it doesn't cover the doors. I don't know what style stacks i'm going to use(kinda liking these strait ones today). I can now start to finish the body work. Thank you.

Re: CORVETTE RACING
Really coming along nicely and it looks the part of a real decked out KW ...I like the aerodyne sleeper and aluminum tanks,boxes...etc....one thing that sticks out to me tho is the black air cleaner intake pipe..it looks kinda small? Or will you be covering that with aluminum trim like some guys add on?
Keep the updates coming |
