Polished aluminum always looks good, and more so with a sharp paint job like that! It's going to be a looker, when all said and done.

After seeing Keith's dumper I decided to change things up a bit. I ordered a hood from shapeways. Raised the roof. Still have to move axle back.Thinking about cutting 1/2 inch off the top of the wrecker bed. Gonna make the black cab a day cab.

Small update. Finally had some time.Prepped the hood from shapeways,it was alot more work then I was expecting. Decided to go with white and red.Not sure on the color of pinstripes yet. Gold, silver or black,or a combination of two. Cab and fairing in white waiting to dry so I can mask and shoot the red.

Hood looks pretty good to me....the 3d plastic is a pain to get ready for paint...

Wow! That hood is looking great Fred! Nice job, I can't wait to see this come together. Have you decided on colour scheme or pattern for the wrecker body?

Thanks Mario! I have a couple ideas. Guess I'll decide when the cab is done. Everything is subject to change look what happened to the other cab. Lol.

Plow jockey, I am impressed with your build, inspired me to give it a try. Any suggestions on the motor for the boom lift mechanism?

One question if you don't mind, what is the size of the boom, looks to be square and aluminium.
