:D:D Just a thought, I see them all the time and figured it would be so awesome to see them in rc. My familey was or is in the industry here in washington and those were how we cut our firewood before Weyerhauser caught wind of it :D haha As for the logs to run through them, your going to have to find some arrow sticks:cool:

I will get the Cat 980 built ( bucket/log grapple ) and then give your idea some thought.
Those heads are a work of art, lots of moving parts in them... I think there is tallented people on this thread who could build something like that, BUT I am not one of them...

The tires are solid rubber, I think they will dig a big hole in the ground quickly in soft material..

D8R Your right Dan, I am running four motors, not so scale but very good power..

Flyingbeagle That's tracksandtreadslou ( Lou ) 966 in the background, nice to have a model of similuar size to look at from time-to-time to use as a reference when building..

Jammer The bucket is 11 inches when dumping when the boom is all the way up, lots of height..

MPE Thanks for the tires, I think they will work great on this machine...

I was able to do the first test run on my CAT 980, its a little sloe backing up, but otherwise I am happy with it..
