I'm not sure how thick that material is but I'm pretty sure it's too thick. I'm doing some testing now and it needs to be very thin on a long trailer.

Thanks.lol This is a hobby to me first and foremost even though I'm trying to make a living at it. I have to try and keep it fun or it won't work out.

Yes, I'll see what I can do...

Thanks Dwayne! When you are ready let me know and I'll put you on the list.

Here's what I'm trying at the moment. I'm using landscaping cloth and it seems to work well although you can see through it slightly. I'm in a bit of a pickle because I am sure there are better materials out there but that comes at a price. I want to keep things as reasonable as I can but still make money for my effort so I hope this is OK. I guess I'll see what you guys think but I think this is my best option for thickness, price and ease of use.

Man Mario hates it and now you too? Oh well, I don't make the music so I only have to worry about you guys liking my metal fab.lol For the record though I do listen to other types of music however the last time I posted a video with ACDC playing in the background YouTube dubbed some other crap over top of it so that it wouldn't get pulled for copyright. I took the video down instead.lol Playing house music in the background doesn't seem to ruffle any feathers and I like to dance around while I'm building:lol::lol::rolleyes:.

You can tear this if you pull on it firmly by hand but I don't see it tearing under normal use. I will try to see how expensive the material Keith used on the Mack is before I say this is the answer. I just want to keep it simple because I don't really have any interest in making the actual tarp itself. I don't sew nor do I want to invest in a sewing machine. I'm a metal guy...

Well, better than country music.

I think the fabric works great and plays the part well. I wouldn't worry about the see through effect. Keep in mind, the box is a light colour and shiny. Who covers an empty trailer? Put some dirt in there and then see how it looks. :)

Hey Reg have you thought about speaker cloth ? It can be had relatively cheap and in different colors. Looks good as always ;)

Haha, yeah country is one of the music types I can't stand!lol

My wife said exactly the same as you about covering a trailer full of dirt and not seeing through the fabric. She's a smart girl. Not sure what she's doing here actually.

Yes I have Brandon. It was actually the first thing I tried but it's a bit thick for rolling up 30"+ of tarp. It is cheap and stronger than the landscaping cloth though.

Whatever Keith used on his DM800 dump worked well. I think he wrote it in his thread. He did, bathing suit material from JoAnns fabrics.

Awh, come on now Mark. We can't let country music ruin our RC relationship!. You can listen to all the country you want on your drive up here.:D. Besides, the only music in my yard will be the sounds of all the trucks and machines running in the park.:)

And your right. If people don't like the fabric, they can change it. You've still provided all that's required to run a tarp of their choice.

Yeah maybe a spandex/nylon type of fabric with lots of stretch to it.
