Re: K100 day Cab Cracker Box

Ok long over due update on the old cracker box. Between customer truck builds and work there just has not been time for my stuff but I am getting a caught up with work so I got some time this weekend to work on the cracker box.

Alright I got the head lights sunk in and the new headlight rings mounted there is a little more shaping to do around the rings and I have to cut in the side marker light. I also filled in the old grill hole and got the KW grill reset in the body..

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/004-12.jpg

Also got the floor cut and mounted so i could set the cab.

So that is it for now.. Ill close the back of the cab in this week and cut the rear window in. I also have to make the AC unit for the roof to "Does anyone have a pick of what this unit looks like if so it would really help" Thanks Much. I have to get some alum for the front bumper so I can set it back some and make it look nice..

Ok thanks guys more to come.

Paul, that is looking really good! That grill is perfect and the headlights are spot on, from what I can tell. This is going to be sharp as a tack. Really cool project!

Thanks Much for the great comments guys! I am hoping it comes out the way i am wanting it so so far so good. In the one pick it looks like the head light ring on the right is not level but I just looked at it and it is  Just got a new dig cam and it does goofy things?? Sort of like Steve's IH bumper looking bent and it was not??

I was about to ask this. I guess you could call this a bump.

TC really helped me find this place, so it's nice to be here.

Thanks for the great build and thanks for telling me about RC Truck

Re: K100 day Cab Cracker Box

WOW! I had to do some major digging to find this thread but this may shock some but i started on it again this last weekend. I work up Sat night at 2am and could not get back to sleep so I got up and had the itch to build so I started in and things were clicking again..

I normally dont worry about the interior in the cab but i thought I would in this truck. I got the dash and seats in then got to work on the dog house.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/007-23.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/008-25.jpg
Fits real nice too.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/009-21.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/010-18.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/011-16.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/012-15.jpg

Next the AC unit in the roof of the cab..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/014-8.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/015-9.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...boy/016-10.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/017-8.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/018-8.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/019-7.jpg

Then I did the lines to the AC unit with brass rod and I also built the cover over the end of the motor with the screen over it.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/013-8.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/022-8.jpg

And well after the sun was up I finished with the mud guards and mounted the one stack I had as I am WAITING on JON to send me the other one.:D HINT..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...wboy/023-5.jpg

I should get some more time this week on it all of the electronics will be in the cab and I have some more detail to do on the inside and the outside of the cab before I finish the body work and send it off to paint..

Nice work on that dog house !!! Are you going to put a fifth wheel on that large car so you can pull your hay trailers ? That would be cool
