I haven't attached them yet, but you took the thoughts right outa my mind, I'm gonna bolt them in with 1 bolt on each and then run a line of weld around them.
Ps lovin you're YouTube channel! Just a question where did you get the chain for the drive tracks on the dozer? |

Re: Bruder 574 conversion
Today I have been machining up the various parts for the rams.
Here they are in different stages. |
Re: Bruder 574 conversion
Another little update.
Made this pipe bender so I can make the pipes on the rams. Nice tight 90 with no kinks, on a 3 mm copper tube. |

Great work!!
Did you have previous experience working with a mill/lathe? |

This is my first serious go at anything on a lathe/mill and boy is great learning new techniques. I'm sure there are a lot easier ways to achieve what I'm doing, but I'm learning. :) |
Re: Bruder 574 conversion
You are working like a pro! Keep it up!

Re: Bruder 574 conversion
Your tube bender seems to work great. I know it is hard to bend copper or brass tubing from experience with out the proper tools. Ed

Re: Bruder 574 conversion
After a lot of messing trying to get the hydraulic cylinders working correctly, I think I have finally cracked it.
I will post some pictures later today. |
Re: Bruder 574 conversion
Hey, I call shenanigans! :) You said you'd post more pictures later today and that was at least a month ago and I still don't seem them! Seriously though, any updates? I look forward to your progress...

Re: Bruder 574 conversion
Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates but work commitments and family bereavement meant the build had to go on hold.
But good news.... It's finished at last. |
