I guess I will have to start on the fuel tanks next and painting the frame. I'm going to paint it red same as the cab.

Wow Wade, that looks killer. But why get rid of the headach rack?

Re: my new hobby truck

Well a little update on the Fatcab...........

I have removed the 5th wheel and slide plate. I have our fab shop doing some welding on it and clean up. Since the 5th wheel plate has been pulled it has given me the chance to work on the air lines running down the driver side framerail from behind the cab. So I removed every air line for the brakes and airbags and have replaced them all and over the winter one airbag has grown a leak and I have it off right now along with the torque arms on the top of the rearends. So here in another week I will have everything from behind the cab replaced or looked over very hard. I have a show on May 6th and 7th that I'm taking the truck too so I will post picks then of the updates discussed and more to come in the following weeks.

Oh I also bought a trailer. A 1988 Utility reefer. 48' x 96" with sliding tandem with alum wheels. I pick it up sometime in May.

Paul is going to help me paint it once I get it

But this is the trailer here I thought I had one of it

Well I took the truck to my first show back on May 7th and I was very surprised by the comments on the old truck. Very positive........

I had a wheel seal go out on the trip. I just got that fixed along with a swing arm bushing and had them install my old style 13 spd shift knob.

I pick the truck up this week and I need to finish installing the 5th wheel because the first weekend in June I'm going after the trailer.

He was my buddy's 78 A model.

Wade don't get on the board much but since I will be helping I will answer for him. I am going to go down to his place and we will be painting the stripe and the refer the same color as the cab and the wheels he will get cut to a shine to match the rig and more and more as time goes on..

Here is a mock up of the truck with some lights on the cab and the reefer painted the same color as the truck. I think I might have some black in it but I will get back to that later.

Had a new bullrack at the show had to back up to it.....I did not get under it so did a little photo shop but I think looks large.

So just saving money for some air bags and stainless steel air canisters and be ready for a small show in Adel Iowa in August.

Re: my new hobby truck

Well have been working on the Fatcab.

I have both doors torn down and have new latches and strickers to go in both doors and have both handles cleaned up and lubed up. I bought new window track felt and wipers for across the top of the door panel where the window moves pass. I have thermo/sound deading material to line the inside of the door with also when everything goes back together. I have the headliner out of the top of the cab and have all the cab lights off the truck and ready to remove the horns. I have a nice set of long horns to go back on the truck and a new set of LED bullet style cab lights. For Christmas I got a stainless steel battery box lid. I have removed the air cleaner canisters and have a set of stainless steel one's to go back on but the intake hole is lower so I have to mod the bracket on the side of the frame to keep the top of the breathers from not hitting the bottom of the cab. Oh ya I found a new in the box set of rubber splash guards that run on the bottom side of the cab at KW they are $220.00 a side I picked the pair up for $200 on ebay. When I pull it out of the shed this spring it will look a lot different then it does now. Stay tuned.
