That works very smooth. Where did the bucket come from? What are the dimensions?

Re: Over budget loader,First test vid!

Although they had twin bucket cylinders, the green color of the chassis and rugged square look of the cab makes me think to an old Terex 7271

:D

What was that click click when you tried to turn? Didn't install servo horn screw? :D What oz/in servo are you using?

Looks good on the table, but the real story will be told when it's in the dirt. :)

Brian,I'm going to add it up tonight.Off the top of my head,I would have to say around $1800. in parts. Which I don't think is bad at all.
9w,the bucket is off of a JD 1/16 scale toy.
Joe the clicking is the wonderful trany skippin gears. But it's all fixed now!:D
Speaking of what I had to use for a trany. It only took 5 time out of the machine before I got smart & remade the trany end plates.

Good work! I like that you saw (and used) the potential of the tractor. One of a kind is always cool.

Was it from a 544 precision model? Did you ever consider converting one of those?

Re: Perfect budget loader,Now working vid!

That's awesome. It seems to be working really well. Heck, it just about climbed up the side of the dump truck, with the first bucket full!

Re: Perfect budget loader,Now working vid!

Very innovative conversion of tractor to loader - just what we have come to expect from FGD. Always interesting to see what resources will become the latest creation. Really a nice build.

I'm still a newbie, so I can't identify the driveshaft and u-joint combination I see in the picture following the transmission plate image? What brand components are these?

Thanks,
Ken

Re: Perfect budget loader,Now working vid!

still less then kit cost, but I think with mini actuators I can build a loader for half our cost FGD.

Re: Perfect budget loader,Now working vid!

Nice machine there Freddy. Now I remember someone giving me a razing for the way I loaded my bottom dump!!!! You were not very nice to the side boards and does ramming the side of the truck get the bucket over the truck farther or is that just to shake the load down to get more on.:p:p:D:D
