got the frame almost pretty much done, a few tweeks and some prep work and it'll be ready for paint.

cut the ends so they're ramped:

everything is finally bolted in place instead of mocked up! (waiting for the lift axle to dry)

made the light buckets for the tail lamps on the fenders:

im trying to find a way to make the bunk removable so i can have both!

Re: First Build - King Hauler

Goose looks real good.. To have both.. Finish off the back of your cab like a day cab then make a either a drom floor for behind the day cab that the sleeper will fit over or do a floor head ache rack combo that the sleeper can slide over and WALA you have both.

Great job on your KW conversion! The lift axle and suspension is adding a lot to the build. Think you've got enough cab clearance lights? :D I AM a fan! The frame ramp taper looks nice too.

Re: First Build - King Hauler (UPDATE 14-10-12!!!)

Well, the new job getting me home every night has allowed me to finally get some work done on my truck! ive got about 95% of the body work done, its getting close!

i had to pull the lift axle for now, i wasnt happy with it, have a few ideas in mind, but hopefully Russ gets his on the shelf first! and cant wait for steves wheels either!

went with a goldish color for the frame, the cab will be dark cherry metallic with some stripes or something the same color.

Sweet looking KW  love the color choice. I guess work truck means no extra lights?

Wow that is very close to what I am going to build next spring when I got the monies. Only thing different is that I am going to heavy haul it! Very nice colors are great! For your first truck its better than what I am going to be able to build :D

i havnt got to use mine much, only did the rails before the reno started! i have lights to go under the cab and in the holes in the bunk, going to try painting with chrome paint around it, see how it does.

mine started as a heavy haul, will get a lift axle once i get a better one figured out. i have an idea that uses brake line and steer axle spindles, but i want to get the rest finished up first. thx!
