I like the old rust effect and look but on a nice new shiny looking chassis ? Is it going to look right? It would be nice to see the rusted look on the steps/ battery box perhaps.

Love the fleet and all the pics :) thanks

thanks for commenting, frame/steps/battery box is getting same treatment only thing that I'll keep shiny is probably the bumper

Thanks for commenting, the PIE stickers arrived way faster than i expected, so I never got around to rebuilding the axle set up, but I´ll get it done, it needs a set of red wheels as well I think.

No I don't know who build it, but I do know that there is a build thread somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

In the first page, I really am diggin' your Kenworth King Hauler. That is the closest model truck I have seen to something I am going to build. The only differences is that it will be stretched some more with more bling bling, but still a working heavy hauler. Keep up the good work!

Thank you and thanks for your comment, the Kenworth has seen its share of different setups, and I think it will probably see some more before its finished

got a new cab in the mail today, its a SCANIA L111, the cab was produced from 1974-1981 as I recall, i'm planing on making it into either a ASG truck or something you would see doing the middel east runs in the 70´and early 80´. still got a long way to go, but hey it´s always nice to have something on the shelves.

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS

I've been wanting to build a hot rod king for years, so when I saw Biggus' Rat Rod King I thought now was the time, I ordered the FRACTURE engine (think I been looking at it for a year or so) from rc4wd, dug through the boxes in the attic for an old cab I got from a friend maybe 4/5 years ago, found a set of VERKERK low-profile tyres for the front axel and a set of super singles from a tamiya reefer trailer, suspension i also from a reefer kit engin is a carson.

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS

I bought a King Hauler chrome edition cab a couple of years ago I only wanted to use the bunk, tonight i finally got around to chopping it up, I wanted to use it on my log truck, kinda like the old Mercury sleepers, to give it a old school west coast look, I had the frame rails from my Grand Hauler kit and the fuel tanks left over from one of the other builds, also changed the gearbox housing, it more or less fell apart over the last 5-6 years, hope you like it.

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS

A little over a year ago we started on my lil buddy Johannes scania (he's 15 years), we started plying around with different color schemes on the ipad, we ended up using the colors from an old danish company, twisted the livery a bit around, still trying to keep it old school Danish, addet a bullbar and a sun visor from a 1990-95 model 143 scania that i found in belgium, the paint job is done by a retired auto painter, it still needs some lettering and white pinstriping, hope you like it.
