Re: New Project!
Nice and clean Stu! How many pins are in those connectors?
|
Re: New Project!
Such a nice conversion, so much like the Blocher kit from Germany, very professional.

http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...ps408cbb02.jpg http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...pse772d2c9.jpg A few more to solder then I can shoot another vid. Stu |
Re: New Project!
Nice and tidy. Good job on the electrical wiring. That's one thing that definitely pays off when you take your time to get it right. Looking forward to some more video!

Re: New Project!
Wow, the machining is superb. Flawless!!

Re: New Project!
nice job - it's not uncommon for the big tractors to only have a towing eye. 3 point hitch is used for implements which need to be lifted, which is frequently not the case for the large ploughs and seed drills that require high towing forces. I'd be looking to get that tipping trailer to work first :D

The trailer is on the to do list, I want to make a new ally chassis for it, need to get the tractor finished first though. The rose joints, clevis's and brass arrived so found some time this week and cranked up the mill: http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5f11009f.jpg http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...ps29d7d3bf.jpg Thanks for lookin Stu |
Re: New Project!
Nice! Looking forward to seeing that 3 point hitch all finished up and on the tractor.

Re: New Project!
Rear Hitch is on
http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1bf87a1c.jpg http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1431b744.jpg Took a bit longer than expected, got distracted working on another project:) http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...psf06cfd6d.jpg Stu |
Re: New Project!
Awesome. I get distracted a lot too, Stu, but your 3 point hitch looks right at home on the back of the tractor. RC4WD Gelande? Those scale 4x4 trucks are a lot of fun!

Quite a few neat building techniques in this...... I really like the articulation detail. It looks to operate very well and with great scale appearance in the vid. Well done Stu!

Re: New Project!
Finished the blade:
http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...psl3l6a0ht.jpg And fitted some flashing beacons: Lights I have also set one of the channels on the usm-rc2 to EKMFA and am controlling this with switches on the Taranis. The Taranis is programmed to send a set number of pulses depending on which function you want on/off. |

Re: New Project!
Time for an upgrade to the JD,
New electronics, a servonaut s22 for forwards/backwards and a servonaut mfx for the steering. Also new wheels and tyres which at 350g heavier per wheel will add 1.4kg to the total weight of the tractor, will make some brass wheel weights later if it needs them... https://i.ibb.co/KD3QS3y/IMG-2020.jpg https://i.ibb.co/ZM9XHPM/IMG-2120.jpg https://i.ibb.co/grXbMzb/IMG-2122.jpg https://i.ibb.co/CMZy0RT/IMG-2126.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Y0FQ4Kx/IMG-2127.jpg https://i.ibb.co/K90GB7k/IMG-2125.jpg https://i.ibb.co/61yc5Pr/IMG-2123.jpg https://i.ibb.co/JCwtQWw/IMG-2137.jpg |
Re: New Project!
Are the tires hollow? Add lead shot for lots of weight gain.
|
Re: New Project!
The tyres are solid which is where the extra weight comes from, I will try it with the added 1.4kg to start with then make some brass wheel weights later.
|
Re: New Project!
SUPER job! Keep us updated.
|
Re: New Project!
Hey Stuart, looking forward to the finished upgrade. They are never really completely done, are they? Would you mind sharing where you got those tires and wheels? I need some, but can't find'em on this side of the pond.
Thanks, Rob |
Re: New Project!
Thanks guys,
No Rob I don't think they are ever quite finished.... The tyres are from Trankl mine are the Michelin Axiob 900/60 soft version, they are very soft and should be grippy not sure if he ships to the US. The wheels for them I bought from Anders Kolpen in Denmark who is a member on here, he made the mould for the tyres too and had Trankl make them, they now make/sell them in there shop. The wheel centers I made myself as the ones Anders supplied are not suitable for mounting on the 9530, I actually bought the wheels/centers and tyres for a future project but decided the 9530 could use the upgrade. Anyhow, its all back together and heres the pics along with my future project (hopefully!) https://i.ibb.co/m0LzPV2/IMG-2154.jpg https://i.ibb.co/FkQcqM7/IMG-2155.jpg https://i.ibb.co/LvFqT3m/IMG-2162.jpg https://i.ibb.co/0FmWXrQ/IMG-2164.jpg https://i.ibb.co/GPXtyr3/IMG-2163.jpg |
