Way back on page 3 or 4 of this thread you mention you get your #35 chain with K1 links of of China. From whom do you buy if from/through? I may have missed it but, I don't see that mentioned anywhere.

I'm working on a project with #40 k1 chain. PM me with questions. I found some Indian and Chinese sources, but I don't trust the overseas seller's, one of our members got burned by alibaba.

$13.00/ft is the price to beat for#40 k1 chain.
I haven't had a chance to price it at applied industrial technologies yet.

love your models. I am building dozer my self using a lot of your great ideas. can you explain how you have your wiring system wired up. how do you have the 18 and 12 volt batteries hooked up to receiver with a 6v rx battery. can you have more than one speed control going into the receiver suppling it power?

I will try to explain,

Max power to the RX is 6 volts
Sabertooth speed control can take 12 / 18 volts : ( to RX )
Hyd pump 12 volts : ( can be turned on/off with a servo or speed control )

I guess what I was wondering is can you plug two speed controls into one receiver when speed control has a batterie hooked to it. Does it not bring power to the receiver from each speed control? :confused:

If you want to hook two speed controllers with separate batteries to one receiver you must take the red wire out of one of the controller's receiver plug. Very carefully remove it by releasing the brass prong out of the plug with a straight pin. I just put shrink tubing over it so it doesn't short out on anything and you're good. If it's a Sabertooth pull the Red wire on both plugs to the receiver. Now if it's one battery feeding both speed controllers, it really doesn't matter as it's the same power source.

That was my concern. So when using a receiver pack. Remove red wire from both speed controllers. Sorry just don't want to burn out my receiver. Whst kind of run time are you getting with your set up? Thanks Patrick.

Yes your right. When you use a separate battery pack for the receiver, you pull the Red wire from both speed controllers. You'll have to ask Greg about the run times as he used to run Nicad's but has now switched to Lipo's.
