I think in the shipping industry that HEAVY = INDESTRUCTABLE. Don't they get that they charge for the weight - no need to take it out on our packages........

JOE still icky sicky?

I received a nice letter from Vario Germany today...

"Dear Joe,
>
> my Christmas present for you: 200€! Please find accordingly the credit
> note. We got a bank transfer of the insurance for that."

:)

Joe did they give you a credit to use there or did they send you a bank transfer for the money?. The credit is OK if you are going to buy more from them. Ed

They gave me the option and I chose to leave it as a credit.

I'm not aware that Vario makes any extra attatchments for their excavator Greg. I was thinking I may inquire if they will send me the steel plates that they weld to the bucket that fit into their quick attatch on the stick so I can easily add my own selfmade attatchments. ;)

Nothing yet, I'm lazy. :)

Cheers Dean.

I really don't have anything for new ideas to film RT9. Although I will soon need a chinook to blow thru my area b/c I'm quickly running out of room to stockpile. :D

It'll take a couple of wks of crushing from the crawlspace to fill the screener area again, but then I'll have no where to haul it out too.

Cool video Joe. Watching your excavator work I realize my hydraulics for my backhoe project don't run quite that speed. (Probably the small lines I'm using). Does your excavator have same Leimbach pump I'm using and, if so, do you have any idea what pressure it is running?

How's that 850 coming?

Joe

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

Yes I see you joined & subscribed today Steve, which is great! I wish everybody would post vid to yt. Photobucket vid sucks with slow connection, I can't get it to work properly & sometimes not at all. I look forward to seeing your vids. :)

JB (too many Joes here :D), likely same pump, 350ml/min. I bought a guage with this excav & set pressure to 15bar, which I'm certain is lower than the older two hoes b/c the stick won't pull this newer hoe sideways, the other two will if I hook something solid enough. The ID of your lines & fittings are likely 1.5mm, the same as my decade old hoes. And you can see how slow they move on older vids. This new one has 2.5mm ID... it almost seems slow to me now, I wonder how much difference 3mm ID would make? The 850 is 4 or 5mm ID. I'll get started on the 850 soon... maybe tonite.
