Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

floor in cab perfect.
http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09486.jpg

floor on frame stock KH tranny NOt soo muchh..
http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09487.jpg

Floor up cab happy, tranny happy, but electronics not happy..
http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09490.jpg

move tranny backwards, cab is very happy..electronics very happy..Headache rack? not happy...

http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09492.jpg

http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09494.jpg

http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09495.jpg

I need help guys, anyone know a good tranny I could use that will go absolutely
below the rails? I could cut the floor n make the stock tranny work, but then that
means the battery tray will be of no use and everything is gonna be flying around
inside there not cool

if anyone knwos a good tranny alternative please let me know :) thank you in advance :)

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

You can run a R2 I run them in my trucks that dont have much room in them. or the buyer could switch to lipo and have plenty of room..

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

I agree with Paul on this. Use an R2. Great tranny and very compact. I have them in 2 of my trucks. 1 is mounted to the floor of the cab. Lots of room for everything then.

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

ok guys welp took some advice :) cut down the floor n flipped, works like a charm :)

http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09512.jpg

http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/DSC09515.jpg

I moved the front wheels up a bit, tilted the mount there now I have to modify that cross member to put a bolt n nut instead of screw to hold the mount in that position giving me a little bit more room, what happened b4 is I couldnt mount the little side step, the wheel was a little bit too bad it would hit the side step when turning very bad, so now moved up works greatt!

That freight shaker is looking good, but what's the other chassis for? Keep up the nice looking cab over build.

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

I'm a huge fan of the old cab overs such as the 70-85 k100s, Pete 350 + 352, freightliners. Can't wait to see the 79.

Re: 2000 Freightliner COE

thanks guys :) and yea I love old COE's I think of all the freighliners are probably my very favorites :) hence y I started this build in the first place LOL I didnt know some1 would want to buy it and turn it into a different truck :) hehe which means I willl build another one for myself once I am finished LOL

my original plan was to build it a the wrecker from terminator 2 :) that black one from the chase :)

from here :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msdCQ...eature=related

but this is greatttt I just love the freighliners overall :) and I'm glad everyone appreciates all the hard work n details I put into this build to make it look exactly like the 1:1 :)
