I was initially looking for an easy way to program my DX10T for use with the Tamiya MFU, and came across this thread.

.....long story short....I ended up programming my transmitter this way.....

(Please note that switch selection for a specific function is entirely up to the user.)

Very easy, just have to play with the radio (manual was very basic at best).

All available channels are assignable to any stick, any switche, any button, any slider, and any knob. You can also have more than one control assigned to one channel. On my truck - I inhibited the left stick 'rudder' function and assigned that channel to a 3 position switch (for the 3 speed gearbox servo is plugged into a separate channel). And the same 3 position switch also controls another channel that the MFU is hooked up on to give me the gear changing sound.

There are 6 (it could 8 don't have the transmitter on hand) available mixes though. Thinking it would have been nice to have more.

Yep there are 6 mixes available, which can be a little limiting...

You can also assign:
- Throttle - any channel - Only throttle stick though (unless it's sail plane/heli mode)
- Aileron,Elevator, Rudder - any channel - Only appropriate stick
- Gear, Aux 1-5 - any channel - any switch/slider/stick

After having hands on with PFB's DX10T last week, it's not the radio for me!

One thing I've noticed about growing older is that I hate change.. the sticks are beyond the reach of my thumbs & after operating the sticks the last 15yrs with just my thumbs, I'm not going to suddenly switch to thumb & index finger. ;)

Yep I can understand that one, it is a very different way of holding the sticks...

I love the precision(or feeling of precision) I can get, but it does still feel weird sometimes. Also I wish it had the 16 or so mixes that the dx18 does...
