I liked the videos, especially the dozer pushes. It's amazing how well it can push!

Thanks guys, I was able to "tame" down the excavator with radio functions. And the dozers new blade is much better suited for the dirt she lives in now. I am an impatient sob, and always get in a hurry to do the task at hand,,,, this hobby has been rather therapeutic for me as I am constantly telling myself I'm in a hurry to do nothing. Digging and pushing dirt with these models is basically my therapy for the "have to get it done yesterday" of real life work. Now if I could just get my health insurance to pay for some more models I would be happy!!!

I'll get some more videos soon! Thanks!!

Started on the road project at Riverlot. Mario, you talk about roots!! I feel your pain now!!! The soil is perfect, but just littered with finger roots and the occasional runner. Guess scale would be like digging roots about one to two feet around!!! Dozer rips through the little ones but hits a big one and the chopping crew has to come out.

You might have to put some utility knife blades on the ripper teeth for those roots. The dozer work is looking good

Yes, I hate " the roots of all evil "
How are the bugs at the river lot? Getting eaten alive?

Today's work so far,, bugs are good, we are on the side of river and the wind comes across from other side. Helps keep bugs down and always shady with a nice breeze. We really lucked out getting this spot, mile from home, full all time hook-ups and neighbors are into the rc stuff!! I should bring down tractor and till up the whole area where we play. The owner is cool too, can do whatever we want, it's not a party place but more like a campground.

Here are a couple pics of what I get to enjoy on the weekends. There is a large pavilion, 50x140' concrete floor, campsites, hotels within a few miles, I should look into seeing about having a event here, anyone of you guys interested?

Fantastic pics RW!!

This grade looks quite steep, would the Ford make it?

What's the humidity mid July like there? I looked you up on mapquest once, I think it's 2000miles - thereabouts... I think I would just fly there & run your stuff all wkend. :D

Looks like you are getting a lot of work done. Seeing that flat water, I couldn't imagine going there without a fast R/C boat.

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Modelman, yes flat water, mornings and evenings are usually glass, that's when I've had my fastest runs. It is still a river but the main channel is closer to other side. Maybe 8-10' at most. In those pics I could walk about 1/2 way out up to my waist. Being it a river I've always worried about a boat on re-entry becoming a torpedo, rocky bottom in the shallow side. And about 1/4 mile down it flattens to about 3' deep all way across. So if one sunk I would go down ther and wait. But when we run water is usually clear enough to see bottom in deep. Always painted bright just to be able to see a carcus on bottom:)

Joe, I didn't run the ford dump to find out. I'm sure she will go up unloaded in second gear. But fully (over) loaded as I always do, I'm not sure , full throttle first gear:) hopefully this weekend I'll get some videos and find out if it's a one way road or not. But I really don't have the need to haul dirt up as most of the work will be below. And it's more of a access road so my lazy butt doesn't have to carry anything down. !! In the one pic with the dozer hood up you can see the edge of the rocks, the dirt next to that was the previous road. Believe it or not, the dozer climbs that, forward facing, now that it's mostly dirt it is a hill climb for the d11, goes down well but not so well up:).
