I like the old rust effect and look but on a nice new shiny looking chassis ? Is it going to look right? It would be nice to see the rusted look on the steps/ battery box perhaps.

Love the fleet and all the pics :) thanks

Mario

thanks for commenting, frame/steps/battery box is getting same treatment only thing that I'll keep shiny is probably the bumper

This is going to be a sweet rig when it is finished:) Although I have never seen a PIE trailer with a spread axle before.

Thanks for commenting, the PIE stickers arrived way faster than i expected, so I never got around to rebuilding the axle set up, but I´ll get it done, it needs a set of red wheels as well I think.

No I don't know who build it, but I do know that there is a build thread somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

In the first page, I really am diggin' your Kenworth King Hauler. That is the closest model truck I have seen to something I am going to build. The only differences is that it will be stretched some more with more bling bling, but still a working heavy hauler. Keep up the good work!

Thank you and thanks for your comment, the Kenworth has seen its share of different setups, and I think it will probably see some more before its finished

got a new cab in the mail today, its a SCANIA L111, the cab was produced from 1974-1981 as I recall, i'm planing on making it into either a ASG truck or something you would see doing the middel east runs in the 70´and early 80´. still got a long way to go, but hey it´s always nice to have something on the shelves.

Re: A VOLVO and a couple of KINGS

I've been wanting to build a hot rod king for years, so when I saw Biggus' Rat Rod King I thought now was the time, I ordered the FRACTURE engine (think I been looking at it for a year or so) from rc4wd, dug through the boxes in the attic for an old cab I got from a friend maybe 4/5 years ago, found a set of VERKERK low-profile tyres for the front axel and a set of super singles from a tamiya reefer trailer, suspension i also from a reefer kit engin is a carson.

Love that L111 cab. Coincidentally seen one on the road the other day too. The old Scanias sure had class.
