Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
Thanks. I'm only running about 10 bar so will crank up and see how much diff. You are correct on 1.5mm fittings (well, Clippard fittings and lines are 1/16" ID but pretty much same thing). Looking forward to seeing the 850. Hope you will post some pics as you build.

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
You should take a few pictures of your 850 build then you could make a video of its first steps, and make that one video. that would be pretty cool. Do you plan to paint it Cat yellow or John Deere yellow and Grey? When do you think the 850 will be in the basement loading the Volvo A.D.T. or the Mammoth? Thanks!!!

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
Turning up the press will help to increase flow, but it also makes the motor work harder. Try to keep the cyls moving all the time, even just a hair so the oil flow is not all going thru the relief valve. Makes your batt last longer and keeps your oil cooler.
JD yellow & I thought it was gloss black, is it either or? Don't know how long it will take to finnish. I think I have everything. |

YT changed the email notification method, you need to revisit your subscribed channels and click on the subscribe button again, this is turn shows another green box below, with the option to tick a box that sends you a mail every time that person uploads a video... Hope that helps.. Elliot |
Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
Yeah, thx Elliot. I just saw that green box when I subscribed ihbuilder74's channel. That should fix it. ;)
Started priming metal parts on the 850 last nite. I was watching vids of the 1:1 850 & I'm uncertain if the undercarriage & arms are gloss or satin black. Anybody know? |

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
I saw that when it was on his workbench... not alot of power & pretty slow. I've given up on the idea, even if I were successful at making one, I think the vibration over a long term would likely destroy the excav model.
Rctech9, yes I do. No it's not for sale. |
Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
LOL love that 'not for sale' bit :P
ya the vibrations, i wondered that myself. wondered how many hammers till either the tool falls apart or it hurts the pump or a line or a valve... |

2 Attachment(s)
How about a ripper for the 850? If the 850 has enough stick breakout force your soil, it could work really well.
Attachment 504 Don't know why they are thumbnails but they get bigger if you click on them. Attachment 505 |

With regards to the breaker, what about a grinding wheel?
Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRiJ7...eature=related Do they make hydraulic motors small enough for such a tool? |

Mr. "lilGiants"
Man, looks like a blast, killer rigs you got there! I wanted to ask, if you could keep only one rig, what would it be?;) Justin, |
