Hi trucker 1970, thank you!:)

I'm working at the same time on various project, one of them is the hydraulic motors for the 330, so i hope to have it run with three motors on tracks and rotation very soon.
The problem is that I Always want to do little improvements on the motors and never be satisfied....
But little by little the performance of them became good.
Waiting to show you something new in a short time...

See you.

EXCELLENT!! I will gladly wait. After watching the most recent video of your tracks on youtube and the power and speed I know this build it going to be the best one ever! I will keep an eye on this thread and youtube. 👍🏻

Wow! The track's looks great, speed seems perfect, this is a masterpiece!

How much tourqe do the track's have?

Erik, what size and Kv motor is that running the pump, and whose pump is it?
I need one for my project....

Thanks trucker1970. Im working on making my own for now, but having trouble figuring out what motor to use. Thinking something in the 300Kv range to get the right flow, but not sure if it will have the torque to get the pressure. Hate to spend money on the wrong part. I have a thread started on the forum,http://rctruckandconstruction.com/sh...ad.php?t=12595

oh NICE! I'll check it out

Hi guys,

Thanks to trucker1970 and Azonic!

@ DavidF:
The pump shown on video is by an italian brand: "Vivoil, oleodinamica Vivolo" with a displacement of 0.25cc, max 9000 RPM. The brushless motor is a 1000Kv 25A outrunner and work with a 3s LiPo.

See you soon....

Re: CAT330D-L full hydraulic

Hi guys,

Forgotten to answer to Azonic; the hydraulic motor setup like you see in video has a wheel torque of about 24-25 Kgcm at 25 BAR and can hold, without be backdriven at all, a torque of about 22 Kgcm.
But in this version the displacement is 15 cubic centimeters (for a wheel turn), so around twice the one of the first prototype.
Not a huge value, but is already proportional to the scaled torque of the real machine: the Cat 330D has a thrust equal to its weight, 30 Tons, and the model has a thrust of about 12 Kg like its final weight.

See you....

Re: CAT330D-L full hydraulic

How do I get the drawing of a hydraulic motor?

Erik79 07-05-2017 09:06 AM

Re: CAT330D-L full hydraulic

Hi 550166681,

Drawings of a real scale motor/reducer are easy to find on the net, search for excavator hydraulic final drive, excavator wheel drive, excavator wheel reducer, or something alike.

But in the case of a reproduction in 1/14,5 or even in 1/12 the drawings you can find are quite worthless. You can't downscale and replicate the complex design of a real motoreducer in a model. You have to make your own project symplifing a lot, reducing the number of components in the assembly and fixing your attention on efficiency.
And it's very hard, both the design and the build.

A phenomenal build you have there. Great build skills, & an excellent engineering feat is the end result. You've got great talent for this stuff.

Hi skeeter,

Wow, many thanks!!
I'm very happy that you like my work!

I saw some of your works too; really not bad.
You look interested in hydraulic, have you ever tried something alike?

Goodbye friend...

Goodbye friend...

For now, the hydraulic stuff is a little out of my budget. Some day, I will have a hydraulic excavator.
