Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Hey old guy,,, haha just want to say that!!! Lol,, ok back to serious,, I never thought of different volumes being used. I am going to try and make a double acting multi stage cylinder with both ports on bottom. I hear ya about bathing in oil!!! I'm the definition of insane sometimes, doing the same thing and expecting different results,, how many times do I need to pressurize a oil filled hose and not secure the end?? Apparently about every time I have a hydraulic project!!!! Forget to secure end, blast a shot of air to blow clean, not slip on the hose good enough,, ect,, I have learned to move anything I don't want oil on first!!!! Except for the cat,,, different story! Lol!!! Maybe some hair paint (colored butane ). I did find out some of the other cylinders out there have bushings on the top and only oil seal on piston. Then the chambers don't need to fill with oil. May look into that design but still want to do the double acting. That way I figure I can control up/down better and it will stay at any in between position. Would have to have valve assembly and all that but for this dump project I do believe a lot of room will be available to hide/place things. 785b haul truck 1:14.

Well I got some better dimensions of tires and drew up another profile. Changed printer preferences and resolution to a better final print. Print time went up to almost 9 hours!! And the tire is sliced into 4 pieces to fit print area. So in a couple days I may have an idea of what to cast. Still haven't figured out hardness that I need. Shore hardness of 60? Anyone know if that would be ok??

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Thanks Steve, do you think those tires are good or should I go a little harder?

Mark, that's 1/4 piece. Sliced it up into quarters to fit print bed.

A guy did this at a Kenworth dealer I worked at many years ago and blew all the windows out of the tire shop.

Not at all, I have the airsoft version of a tank, found 6mm paintballs. Yes animals learned real quick to take cover!!! I had about 10 min of fun then the happiness vampire (wife) cought me and had 1 hour of clean up detention. Apparently I'm not an accurate gunner and a lot of collateral damage. (It was worth it!!!!!!

Yeah, I've seen some really bad things happen with split rims, always think of someone getting hurt whenever I see a tire cage!!! Figured that was a good fun video :).

The hydraulic cat tail, well one time we had him at our river lot, he kept running off, put him in kayak , anchored him about 20 yards out, little bas%#£€ jumped out and swam to shore!!! He does not like the air compressor , or being too close to shop vac, don't know why he keep coming close when they are in use but his big fluffy tail sure is a shop vac magnet!!!! He even tried to fight it once, he didn't make out too well on that battle!!! But dumb@$$ keeps coming back!!

Yeah I think it's a wives tail that cats don't like water, I got 2 that will play in it every chance they get! I do need to remember the shop vac thing. One of mine loves to set and watch me work and then get on the bench and get in the way. He hates the vacuum cleaner and I bet the shop vac would straighten him right up!

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

It my tires are 60, they would be great for a haul truck . I can't even tare them up on the loader spinning in rocks . They are of latex rubber composition .
