How long did that program take to mill the above steps? Are you manually spraying coolant? I ask as I'm seriously considering adapting my mill to cnc.

And this is a really detailed, build. It looks killer!!! I've been wanting to build a larger dumper like this, but a few other projects first to gain some more knowledge. I'm eager to see what you figure out with the trying to stay scale on the driveline. You are very talented!!

It took about half an hour, I took 0.2 mm side steps with 6 mm ball end mill.
I'm using mist coolant and I love it. It blows the chips away and the air cools down the tool and it uses very little cooling oil that doesn't mess up your machine.

Hello Hemi1966

His works are really leaving us with dropped jaw, everything you do is a tremendous perfection.

This is a CNC milling machine?

Thank you,

Carlos

Very fun doing these type of parts. Too bad you don't have a indexing head so you can rotate the part vertically or horizontally without disturbing the setup in the three jaw then turn it 0-90deg.
Here is an example. I don't have a vertical shot.

I do have a indexing head, but I'm worried that as I must machine the back side of the part also, I have to clamp the part long way out of the chuck and it may not be very solid:(

I got the driveline connected through the rear hitch:) The drive shaft from hitch is too short so I need to get longer one.

I think the front body parts the cab and the engine cover will be very challenging to make, there's not many straight panels there:(

Lets hope so:), but the bigger problem is that I can't do the 3D modeling for the parts that the 3D printer needs:(
